Chapter 410 - The Tragic Fall of Planet Namek (1/2)

"0541, now that you have some energy, do you think you can make me some Energy Crystals and Elemental Water?"

That was the most important thing to Jiang Fei.

"Affirmative. Materials needed are adequate for production. I can start manufacturing them now!"

"Make me one of each first!" said Jiang Fei. The potion effect cannot be stacked. Having more would only be a waste. Plus, if manufacturing other things would require the same material, he would have to start to search for more. Might as well just make one for now.

"Production of Energy Crystal and Elemental Water has started. Estimated completion of order should be three hours," said 0541. Items that Jiang Fei requested required the use of individual factory and lab, hence the time needed for production. Potions were easy enough to make as 0541 could easily whip out a few truckloads of them in just half a second.

"Alright, time to wait then!"

Even though waiting has never been his forte, there was nothing he could do to speed up the process.

In that three hours of waiting, Jiang Fei conversed with 0541 about nothing and everything. 0541 was the genius product of Planet Namek, there was almost nothing that 0541 did not know.

Even in the wild outdoors, Jiang Fei was able to log into the game. However, he was in the middle of the field then. Entering the game would force Jiang Fei into a deep slumber. Jiang Fei did not want to have insects of critters come crawling into his body.

"Right, you mentioned something about Braveheart being the pinnacle of technology of Planet Namek. Such a ship, like Braveheart… Just how many of them are there in Planet Namek?" asked Jiang Fei.

"Braveheart is a Deep-Space Exploration and Civilian Transport Ship. There was no other ship like it."

"It cannot be. If the ship was so powerful, Why didn't they built more of it? Could it be that you just didn't know about other ship's existence? Perhaps they built more of them after you left Planet Namek?" said Jiang Fei condescendingly. If the ship was as flawless as 0541 had said, why build only one?

"It was simple. When Braveheart set out into space, it was a means of escape. In that crucial seconds, only the captain and a few other crew members were onboard the ship. All the rest of Planet Namek and its inhabitants were destroyed when the planet collapsed," said 0541 monotonously without any sadness or grief.

"What happened?" asked Jiang Fei as he got onto his feet. It was a piece of jaw-dropping news. How could a planet with such an abundance of technology be destroyed? How was it that out of billions of inhabitants of the planet, only a handful of them managed to escape. They had even perished mysteriously in Earth's atmosphere and even crashed the ship!

"Technology was the catalyst to both progress and destruction," said 0541.

"What does that mean?"

"Resources was scarce and the scientists had come up with a plan to use the power of spatial singularity and harness its power for the use of the people."

"Singularity?"

"A black hole. When the scientist was conducting one of their experiments with an in-lab generated black hole, they had failed during the containment of its infinite gravity force. It happened in less than a fraction of a millisecond. The Hawking Radiation that was released from the black hole had instantly killed every living being that was in the experiment lab. One millisecond later, the black hole consumed every bit of matter within a ten-kilometer radius. Within seconds, the black hole grew to the size of a baseball and all of Planet Namek had already been destroyed. The captain and the crew members were already on board the ship, preparing for a test phase and were in a safe orbital zone when the entire incident occurred. Other ships that were in close orbit to the planet were unable to escape the gravitational pull of the black hole."

"Oh my god… So that's how an advanced planet perished…"

Jiang Fei was thrown off track. He had thought about the planet destruction and other causes of it but never because of a failed experiment.

"Perhaps there were other survivors who were in the cosmos when the incident occured. Perhaps they were safe and sound. However, by now, I have calculated that the massive gravitational pull has already consumed all planets within the system itself. Naturally, all the space colonies that were in orbit around the star system has perished."

"Even colonies… All those people had died…"
