After Phoenix left, Jiang Fei stood still for about ten minutes before he was able to recollect himself.

"Whew! I was lucky to have escaped death!" Jiang Fei exclaimed as he sat on the ground.

The two biggest fears of any human were none other than awaiting death and the realization of having survived afterward. When faced with actual weapons of guns and knives, the fast-paced casualty would not involve any fear. Fear would only arise when told the forthcoming time of death. The period of waiting to be killed would be the most terrifying!

"Alright!' Jiang Fei stood up and started walking toward the Bio-Experimental Laboratory's control room.

"Woof, woof, woof…"

Jiang Fei had barely taken a few steps forward before a group of Bio-Experimental Hounds appeared in the walkway.

"D*rn!" Jiang Fei was taken by surprise. As he had come into contact with Phoenix earlier, his invisible effect had already faded away.

"Woof, woof… Ah-woo…"

The hounds ran toward Jiang Fei as soon as they saw him. However, just as Jiang Fei was prepared to strike back, the group of hounds suddenly bowed down before him.

"D*mn! What is going on?" Jiang Fei asked confusedly.

"These fellows had already been domiciled by the young lady's mind powers. Now that you carry the young lady's scent, they must have mistaken you as the young lady's subordinate," 0541 explained.

"Whew! That explains it." Jiang Fei looked at the two scar lines on his arm. He was able to save himself without even summoning Phoenix!

With such protection, Jiang Fei was able to wander freely in the experimental laboratory. Although he could not command the hounds, they would all bow down to him whenever he passed. The hounds would only resume their normal behavior after Jiang Fei had moved away.

Without facing any resistance, Jiang Fei was able to arrive at the control room successfully. Apart from the original setup by Braveheart, there were various other electrical setups from Earth. Such equipment must have been used by the Japanese to study the alien technology.

"0541, let's have a look at the Japanese's research progress," Jiang Fei said as he placed the ring on the main controlling computer's thumb-drive port.
