Chapter 175: Graduation Ceremony (Part-2) (1/2)
Students were also able to see both Kai and Alice standing side by side.
Those who had already seen both Kai and Alice talking with each other during the last assembly were astonished.
Alice's classmates and admirers were also shocked.
”It's the Ice Queen, did she not break through to the magic warrior stage half a month ago? How is she now a Magic Knight?”
”Who is that person? Is he the new king of Buraford Kingdom? The person who is rumored to be able to meet Headmaster anytime he wants?”
Fatty Yuna and Blonde Fredrick were also astonished by seeing Kai on the stage.
”Just how does he cultivate? We entered the academy on the same day, and he was just an early stage Magic Warrior. How is he now a Magic Knight?” muttered Yuna, while Fredrick's body trembled in excitement.
'Is he the new king of Buraford Kingdom? The infamous savior of Buraford'
Fredrick is also from the Buraford Kingdom. He is from a small town in the eastern boundary of the kingdom. Fredrick and his family are traveling merchants, so he missed his chance to enter a magic academy during his sixth birthday. Only recently, due to a change in the Eastern region's economic condition, his family had returned to their native home, and he was able to travel so far. The man who made it possible was standing before him even during his examination day, but he could not recognize him.
”Hey, Fredrick. What are you getting so excited about? You know I am also a citizen of the Buraford Kingdom now. Both of our kingdoms are one. Knowing our king is such a talent. I believe he will lead us to further glory. That why I plan to focus on cultivation and try to become a magic warrior as fast as possible and join the royal magic-user junior division unit.”
In response to Yuna, Fredrick nodded.
”Let's do our best; I also want to join the Royal Guards in the future.”
Everyone was whispering to each other about Kai and Alice when they heard Oliver's announcement.
”Please be silent,” said Oliver as he looked at Kai and Alice.
Turning around, he picked up the last two certificates and gave it to Kai and Alice one by one followed by a handshake.
”Best of luck for the future. I will now request you to give a brief speech on your life in the academy. Alice, you first. Kai, wait for her to finish,” said Oliver as he put aside his voice amplifier device and gave it to Alice.
Getting hold of the device, Alice looked at the crowds of students standing before the stage. Among them, many of the faces she knows and many are unknown to her.
Even her formal classmates, friends, and people who confessed their love to her and her instructors were there.
It wasn't her first time facing such a crowd of people, and so she was not so nervous but still seeing them made her emotional. She had spent eleven years of her life here, and now it's time to say goodbye.
Calming herself down to stop the surging emotions, she tried to cheer herself up and started her speech with a bright smile.
”Good morning, everyone. I know most of you already know me as the Ice Queen or the man-hating queen. But let me tell you, I don't hate men. It's just that I already have someone in my heart, and nobody can take that place, and I hope you will also find someone who meant a world to you.”
Her admirers and pursuers' eyes widened as they turned their heads and looked at Kai.
There are all known this is the only man in the academy who can talk with her freely and not to mention the rumor of them being roommates among the inner court students.
”I have spent eleven years of my life in this academy and met many friends and am thankful to my seniors and instructors. Most of them are not currently here; they complete tasks that are taken by them or have left the academy before me. But, in particular, I would like to thank the elder Aryana. She had helped me a lot and always was there to encourage me. She was also the person who introduced me to the world of magic-users and the person in charge of me. I am grateful to her. I didn't make many friends in the academy, as I was always busy completing various tasks during the years. But I was still able to make many friends throughout the continent and meet many different people; I am grateful to the academy for giving me such a chance and helping so many people. In the end, I had a great journey. Finally, my last wish and promise, which I had with my childhood friend, Kai, to graduate together from the same academy and become magic users together was not fully completed. He is now a Battle Mage instead of a magic-user. However, I am glad that I at least completed my part of the promise. Thank you, everyone, thank you Chronos Magic Academy.”
Applause*
”Now Kai will share his experience,” saying that she turned around and gave Kai the device.
”Thank you,” said Kai in a low voice to Alice as he came forward and looked at the crowd.
”Good morning, my classmates. I don't know how many of you had known me before Headmaster Oliver introduced me; I am Kai Seft. I have been a student of this academy for less than half a month. So, I don't have much attachment to it, nor I have many friends. The friends I have made are also graduating with me. I came to the academy, especially to meet Headmaster Oliver. As I was facing some problems in my cultivation and only he could solve it, I met him on my first day and learned that we are from the same family. He is the elder brother of my ancestors Eragon Buraford.”
”What? The King of Buraford Kingdom and Headmaster are relatives? Are you joking?” one student couldn't help but mutter.
Some students can't believe what they are hearing. One was the strongest person in the continent and leader of one the strongest influence Academy with a million-year history; another was just a new kingdom with ten thousand years of history.
This information was unknown to the most inner and outer court instructor while the elders and those who knew remained silent. They are well aware of the relationship between Chronos Magic Academy and the Buraford Kingdom.
”Not only that, but I also got to meet a very special person and learn many things about the magic world which I could not have learned about from somebody else. He is very kind but also a strict person and also taught me some basic swords arts.”
