Chapter 162: Myth Of Radiant Sun God (Part-2) (2/2)

'It was the ideology and culture of those groups of people. For them, it was never about the Radiant Sun God instead it was about the ideology which they have inherited for so many generations. Now that I think about it carefully, I have never seen them praying before the statue instead it was more like they were admiring the statue. No, they were looking at their savior. For them, without that being they wouldn't have existed nor would their ancestors'

[Radiant Sun God Church]

A man was running towards the meeting room with his entire body covered in sweat and blood was coming out of his head, not stopping for a second he pushed the doors of the meeting room.

BANG

The sudden opening of the doors caused all the Archbishop to look towards it.

One of the Archbishop quickly reacted and stopped the bleeding man from falling as he used healing magic with a troubled expression.

”What had happened? Why are you in such a condition? Bishop Caius”

”Sir, please... please..come out..side and calm the people. Believers and people who had come to cure their loved ones are...fighting outside. Some even want to break into the Prayer Room shouting that they want to destroy the fake god statue”

Hearing that, the atmosphere in the room turned tense, specifically the neutral Archbishops who were calm until now. They simultaneously stood up and left the room one after another in a hurry towards the prayer room with an anxious expression.

Seeing this Archy, Fardin and the other Archbishop also left.

Leaving behind Garfield, Vardi, and Tabran.

”Lord Garfield, are we not going to help? Why are you still sitting in the room?”

Hearing Garfield snorted

”Tich, can't you see? The problem is beyond our control, I think that someone is manipulating the public.”

”Are you saying that it's a conspiracy? To damage the reputation of Radiant Sun God Church?” asked Archbishop Valdi.

Garfield silently nodded in response but his heart was in complete turmoil.

”But who? Who will benefit from doing so? Creating a riot between the people.. wait. Can it be Emperor Josif?”

Hearing that, both Valid and Tabran simultaneously looked at Archbishop Garfield and the restlessness could be seen in his eyes.

Abruptly he stood up and looked at them.

”We have to leave Joisin city as fast as possible...”

He quickly turned around and left the room, walking down the hallway as his entire body trembled.

'Its.. can.. not be. How did that guy found out about my connection to Count Adwin, and that it was me behind the disappearance of the Saintess”

Thinking about that, he started moving faster afraid that it was true.

Archbishop Valdi and Tabran who were following him knew in which direction Garfield was going.

The treasury chamber. In it, they have a secret tunnel which leads outside the city hidden behind one of the walls.

After walking for some time they turned left and saw the gates of the treasury with two guards guarding it. Quickly ordering them to open the gates, they walked inside. The door behind closed but no one paid attention to it. Just when they were about to open the door to the hidden room they all froze and fell on the floor, feeling dizzy they heard a voice which sounded like a nightmare.

'Today, you shall not leave.'
