Though it might sound impressive, in the face of large number of Beastmen, the undead army of Wendy were still a far cry, not capably enough to fight them head on yet!
So Mark recollected the information he gained from his previous battles and devised a decisive battle which would follow after his initial preparations!

In essence Wendy had to simply run her forces through green rank base and make sure to not accidentally kill the base Chief to force half mutants out!
After all they were pressed on time and half mutants were troublesome existences who were not supposed to be taken light of.

Mark didn't want to believe that they would be the same everytime they meet and who knows what hidden elements might unveil which would delay her progress?
Finally, when the green rank bases are massacred, Wendy have to purposefully turn blind eye for remanent and flee.
It was mainly for the orange rank base to take notice!
Though the orange rank base wouldn't be foolish enough to send reinforcement to destroyed base, they would atleast send in few of their elite army for other bases and reinforce them.

When the orange rank base sends in reinforcement to other green rank bases, she would have already need to ambush them decisively at one point, wipe them all at once without holding back!
Following which she was free to add in more or absorb their essence before shortly intercepting with him at the last yellow rank base where their further plans would be discussed.
Green rank bases were not much of a threat, but considering the threat of orange rank powerhouses he devised this strategy.
The reason Wendy was order to fight the bases was not just to halt their advance but it was plainly to annihilate them as fast as possible!
It takes great deal of effort to kill an undead than a living! So the undead could easily decimate beast men if they caught the latter unguarded!
Wendy didn't had a need to worry about half mutants, as they were still in infancy.
And by the instructions of Mark, all it need for her was to kill the base Chief and half-mutants would turn docile, like a simple muscle head beast which would be easy to kill once their heads and cores were obliterated.
Still it was better to avoid killing base chief than let those unexpected element hindering their work at last minute!
With the advantage of being an undead, the ability of devouring life essence of their target was fearsome which would make the undead a durable force which was hard to deal with.
So in a long battle of attrition, the ones who were actually at disadvantage were the living which would ultimately fell down to death in their struggle for life.
Mark didn't had any good impression on beastmen and feeling guilt in killing them was least of his worry.
Battles like today were sure to be erupted at many instances in future. Mark wanted to test few of his strategies, and at the same time strengthen his undead army as far as possible!
The world in near future was about to get much chaotic, and he needs a stronger organisation for his interests!
Though his strategy appears simpler, it was only possible if aura emperors from orange rank base were not added to reinforcement.
And for the strategy deviced by Mark was to run smooth, there should probably be a need for a trouble maker, who needs to wreak havoc in orange rank base to draw their entire worth of attention over without letting spare thoughts for other!
By making chaos in orange rank base, Mark could halt their aggressiveness and prolong the time before western warlords palace face it's crisis.
At the same time Wendy would find time to annihilate green rank bases without much resistance!
His intervening would made the orange rank base become more wary about the western warlords palace, as their target was an imperial descendent with rich back ground!
