64 Live or Die (2/2)

Eros and Shawn spent the whole day together and the solider followed Eros everywhere Eros became tired so he went to sleep early.

Eros spent the night in Shawn's room while the other soldier slept in the room next to them. Tiger and Bear didn't sleep with their earplugs in. At night you could hear different sounds that can entice any man. However, Tiger and Bear put their ear plugs in.

Bear was staring at Eros while he was washing up. Bear saw the Tiger looking at him finally they were done with their shower and they joined Shawn in the dining hall. It felt good to see Shawn. Shawn gave all the updates on his life and Eros did the same.

While they were at the dining room table, a guard walked up to him and whisper something in Shawn's ear. Shawn turned to Eros and asked '' Can you join me in the throne room''

''Yeah sure is something wrong?”

''No nothing is wrong I just have a choosing ceremony today'' Shawn

Everyone stood up from the dining room table and walked to the waiting hall.

There was a chair on the side of Shawn's throne. Eros and his men sat down. The guard let the woman enter that were all wearing a white dress with a white veil over their face. There were 49 of them. They kept their head down while walking into the room. Not one of them made a sound. They all gathered in rows.

Eros was use to the choosing ceremony but his men weren't.

”This is the choosing ceremony that Shawn has every year” Eros

”Shawn, had an alliance with a few different cities. He protects them from harm and they bring him virgins daughter's ”Eros

”For those that he likes will have a chance to become his wife or his officer's wife. For those, he doesn't like he sends them home. Eros

”How does he pick them?”Bunny Whispers

”Believe it or not he just shakes their hand” Eros

”I am not sure how he knows which ones to pick ” Eros

One by one, Shawn walked up to the girls and shook their hands.

He didn't even see their face. Shawn went back to his throne and called the guard over to him. He whispers in his ear. Then the guard walked over to the girl and tapped their shoulders.

”If you had your shoulder tapped, please stand in front of the throne.” He said

Five girls had their shoulders tapped.

”Congratulations you have been chosen.” the guard said

”The rest of you may go home. ”The guard said

Some of those girls were happy to go home, but the rest were very disappointed because they weren't picked. One of the girls fell to her feet and begged Shawn to pick her.

”Please My King reconsider me.” She said
