1046 Dream Come True (1/2)

Sheyan retracted his saber painfully. The wound on the T-1000's shoulder immediately squirmed in an attempt to heal itself. But before it could, Sheyan had already pierced a USB flash drive into the wound with great force! The USB flash drive showed no apparent movement, but Sheyan could imagine the virus program personally written by Dr. Dolittle must be multiplying like a plague from the mouth of the flash drive and spreading crazily in the T-1000's body.

The T-1000 stood rooted to the spot. After a while, its entire body suddenly turned transparent, and countless 0's and 1's could be seen continuously flowing up and down in it. Finally, the numbers turned chaotic.

Amidst the numbers that were originally arranged in neat columns, a 3 unexpectedly appeared, followed by Roman numerals and random codes! It took five or six minutes for the T-1000 to turn back to normal, and the first thing it did after that was to run away!

It seemed that Dolittle's study of liquid metal was indeed very comprehensive. The program was likely successful in preventing the T-1000's self-destruct ability.

How could Sheyan let the Terminator slip away from his grasp again? Besides, the T-1000 had no 'Overload' ability right now and thus, had no advantage in speed.

First, the T-1000 was hit hard by Zi's 'Force Collision - Wall'. Then, Sheyan rushed up at the perfect moment and hurled the T-1000 into an old, abandoned processing plant nearby with 'Tactical Throw'.

The T-1000's deadpan face remained expressionless. To the Terminator, this level of impact was like scratching at an itch! But the T-1000 could never imagine how much painstaking effort Sheyan had put into the plan behind this throw.

With a loud crash, the T-1000 broke through the window and fell inside the plant. It landed into a huge pool of liquid!

This place was an abandoned leather processing plant, and as such there was a spacious tanning workshop inside. The pool in the middle of the workshop was filled with a black, viscous, muddy substance. Upon closer inspection, one would find the substance to be molten asphalt! The asphalt was bubbling from the heat!

After the T-1000 fell into the sticky pool of asphalt, it could immediately sense that something was amiss, so it struggled frantically to climb out of the pool. But the more it struggled, the deeper it sunk down! Sheyan had taken great care to make this pool of asphalt deeper, so it now reached a depth of nearly 10 meters. The Terminator would not reach the bottom for quite a while.

Although the T-1000 had a crazy amount of strength and insanely powerful abilities, how could Sheyan's carefully laid out trap be so easy to escape from?

When he was sure that the Terminator had sunk to the center of the asphalt pool, Sheyan nodded towards Sanzi in the distance. Sanzi immediately pulled a lever, and the cooling device they had placed into the asphalt pool beforehand was activated. The asphalt started to cool down. With the decrease in temperature, the asphalt that was originally in a liquid state began to solidify into a viscous, semi-solid substance.

T-1000 was still struggling frantically in this semi-solidified asphalt pool. It had to spend a lot of energy every time it moved its hands and feet. If the asphalt was still purely liquid, the T-1000 could have changed its hands and feet into a webbed structure to swim in the asphalt, but the semi-solidified asphalt was the kind of sticky and tough substance that was used to pave roads. The T-1000 found that it could not move its body at all no matter how hard it moved its limbs. All it achieved was to waste its remaining energy in vain.

That was not the worst thing happening to the T-1000. The worst thing was that all this while, Zi, Mogensha and the people from Five Wheels were relentlessly attacking the hapless target that was the T-1000. After the Terminator was infected with the computer virus written by Dr. Dolittle, all of its abilities, including 'Overload', were completely blocked. Hence, it was totally powerless to do anything while it slowly sunk in the hell-like asphalt pool. Finally, its energy reserves dropped below 5%, and it entered a state of hibernation.

As soon as that happened, Dr. Dolittle eagerly ordered Sanzi to re-heat the asphalt pool. He was extremely excited to start his scientific research! To be honest, the harvest this time was far beyond Dr. Dolittle's imagination. The doctor still remembered that the previous time, the liquid metal Gore had managed to obtain was only the size of a finger.

Therefore, Dolittle's most optimistic estimate for this operation's harvest was half an arm of liquid metal... But from what it looked right now, Sheyan had clearly gotten the whole Terminator! Its value was totally incomparable to just a body part! It was just like how the price of a northeastern old ginseng with a full beard and tail was at least 10 times the price of cut ginseng pieces!

Looking at Dolittle's face that was brimming with joy, Sheyan suddenly remembered one thing, one very deadly thing. He recalled that in the plot of Terminator 2, the T-800 had been beaten so badly by the liquid metal Terminator that its internal power source was completely severed, but after a while, its backup power supply kicked in, bringing the T-800 back to life.

Dolittle was a completely irreplaceable figure to Sheyan. If the T-1000's backup power supply suddenly kicked in as soon as it regained its freedom from the asphalt pool, and it smoothly broke Dolittle's fragile neck before escaping with 'Overload', Sheyan would lose everything in this mission!

Therefore, Sheyan dragged Dolittle back and asked everyone to wait. The entire Party Ace naturally had full confidence in Sheyan's judgement, but the people from Five Wheels were getting impatient. Why? Because they had entered this world unconventionally, so they had to pay a fee according to their duration of stay. The cost for their whole party to prolong their stay for an hour was over five thousand utility points.

Nevertheless, the Five Wheels still had need of Party Ace's help, so they did not dare to voice their impatience.

After about ten minutes, the T-1000, which had seemingly gone rigid, indeed came back to life, but only 10% of its energy was restored. It continued to toss and turn in the asphalt pool for a long time while it was bombarded again by Mogensha and Zi. The Terminator did not last long before it fell into a state of hibernation again.
