Chapter 62 - His Cinderella (1/2)
Tuli was raised like a princess. After 17years of infertility, Tuli's mother managed to conceive her. She had almost died during delivery from postpartum hemorrhage and the doctors had to perform emergency hysterectomy. So Tuli was the only child in the family.
As the only child, her parents showered her with love and fulfilled her every wish.
Though they were not rich, they tried to raise their daughter as comfortably as possible.
So, during Tuli's childhood, she had the impression that the world evolved around her and she considered herself a Disney Princess.
Her illusion lasted until she went to school. Tuli was not the most talented girl in the class, neither was she the most beautiful. She didn't belong to an influential family either. So, the teachers didn't give her too much attention. The other students also had their own friend circle. So, very few approached her to befriend her.
Although she was not treated harshly, Tuli was the type of girl who was used to being treated as the apple of her parents' eyes. So her teachers' and classmates' indifference made her feel really wronged.
At first she was determined to keep her pride and didn't approach any other girl. But gradually she became familiarized with the ways of the world. She understood that she was not as special as she thought herself to be. She had to humble herself in front of others if she wanted to survive in this world.
So, the once stubborn and rigid Tuli gradually blended in the society and learnt how to please others in order to succeed in life. But deep down, she still wanted to live a pampered life like a princess...where she wouldn't have to succumb to others. Others would try to please her instead.
Tuli was pampered but she was not stupid. After struggling for half of her life, she managed to enter into thr main branch of Ahmed Corporations. When she was selected as the secretary of the project manager, she thought that she was flying in the clouds. Her salary and honor would be higher than the other secretaries. Moreover, many company would fight hard for her if she wanted to resign and join other office for better post. So, after securing this job, Tuli was naturally very pleased with herself.
When her so called talented classmates would come to know that she worked at Ahmed Corporations, how envious would they be!!! Finally she could face-slap those proud students who dared to look down on her.
She was the youngest among her colleagues. So she was really proud at herself. She decided to do her job wholeheartedly. She believed that she could climb higher if she tried hard enough.
