Chapter 14: The disturbancein the gym

Who needs a personal trainer? Ding Sheng, an Interpol agent, is the best fitness coach one could ever ask for. With only a workout tank on his upper body, it revealed his strong and powerful physique. And due to Ding Sheng’s partialChinese heritage, he looked fit yet not excessively beefy.

In comparison, even though he was much slimmer compared to a month before, Chen An still had far more flabs than muscles. His goal is to just get his weight down to an appropriate level; he hardly dare aspire to attain a figure as excellent as Ding Sheng’s.

Losing weight is actually quite simple, here are the words of truth: eat less and exercise more.

But to actually do so, one needs immense strength of will to rely on. Without, one might fail even before they start. Fortunately, a strong willpower is one of the personal strengths that Chen An take pride in.

Taking a break in his workout, Chen An sat on a spinning bike to rest. After drinking two small mouthfuls of water from his bottle and taking a breath, he casually asked, ‘Are you going back to America soon?’

'Yeah, I’m going back next month. I’m used to work, so taking a break actually makes me feel restless.’ Ding Sheng then asked, 'What about you?’

'Me? I don’t know. I’m taking a step at a time.’ Chen An returned an awkward smile. Currently, he and Ding Sheng are just ordinary friends. Other than knowing each other’s names, they didn’t know each others’ profession nor ask about each other’s past.

Since Ding Sheng did not question, Chen An would not volunteer information.

Continuing his workout on the spinning bike, Chen An pondered. Ever since Ding Sheng joined the Interpol, he had bitten on to Chen An tightly without rest. His sudden vacation now could be because the firearms kingpin Chen Zhang An he was doggedly pursuing before is now dead. So it was only now did he have time to rest.

Not only did he not manage to catch his target, but he discovered that the latter was dead. Ding Sheng must feel not only displeasure but maybe even crushing regret.

'Ha, this gym really allows just any kind of trash to come in here.’ A cold taunt suddenly rang near him.

Neither Chen An or Ding Sheng paid any mind as it barely registered in their attention from the start. It was only when he heard his name being called out did Chen An slipped his glasses back on to take a look.

In the near distance were two young men wearing matching couple gym outfits. The one on the left was a little taller while the one on the right was a little shorter. The shorter one had a fair and clear appearance that was appealing to the eye - if not for the acidic expression he had on his face.

'Oh, isn’t that President Chen An?’
