Hello guys,

I doubt anyone is still keeping an eye on this story, but if you are I have started the remake. Although I changed everything and only kept the farming and cooking elements.

Here is the summary if you are interested in reading it:

Falin Saga

Welcome to Falin Saga! The only game where you can choose the fantasy life of your dreams. Want to be a samurai with a dark past? You can! A pampered child of a noble family? Go for it! Want to be an artist that is worshiped by millions? It's attainable! Anything is possible in the world, Falin! You just have to go out and grasp it!

There was no other chance, or rather choice, for Nanyi. His hand that was ruined, destroyed by the maliciousness of a former friend, throbbed.

Virtual reality could be his second chance to follow his dreams. The place where he can practice and enhance his skills. The place where he can scatter that bitch's ashes into the sea and destroy her reputation as the current best.

He will sear and saute, slice and dice, steam, and boil until his skills are at their peak. Only then could he cause her pain as much as she did to him by roasting her as she marinated in her own tears.

...As a chef, of course.

A snippet of the first chapter:

It had begun. The blanket of the darkness that had been covering the night sky had finally started to recede, chased away by the light of the incoming dawn.

After bidding the stars goodnight, the sun finally decided to make an appearance, bringing with it a canopy of gold that looked bright amid the blueish-grey of the morning sky.

Once again, color had returned to the dreary skies and streets of this small rural town. No, not just color but light as well.

It was a wondrous sight to behold. Sadly most of the people in the small town weren't awake to see it.

Very sad indeed, since they wouldn't be able to witness how the sky would slowly begin to brighten each passing minute; as the sun rose higher into the air.

They wouldn't see how the sun's light would spill out onto the different neighborhoods of the town—shining its majesty down upon everything, not even sparing shadows in its time of dominance.

This overflux of light began to seep into the windows of the different households, lightening up each of the rooms with its calming greyish-blue glow while gently nudging the inhabitants that were sleeping inside into wakefulness.

However, in one particular household, a pale, slender black-haired man met the morning light's gentle nudge with whimpers instead of pleasantries.

Because even though light could penetrate through the darkest of nights, it wasn't able to pierce through the depressing darkness of the nightmare that had ensnared him.

The light could only shine down onto the young man as he soundlessly whimpered, curling himself into a ball.

~

”No!” The black-haired cried out in his sleep, wrapping his arms tighter around himself as the dream he had countless times before started once more.

['It was another busy day at Hēi Méiguī, the finest restaurant in all J city and the place where he was interning. As he walked into the kitchen, he saw that it was bustling full of people trying to prepare their dishes.

But he had no time to worry about them. He had his own task to do. Going over to his workstation, he began doing what was asked of him.

The assignment he was tasked with was to separate the meat from a duck's breast. He needed to hurry because the executive chef was arriving soon and he had no time to waste.

Every second was precious, or he would have the head workstation group on his ass.

Glancing over at his groupmate, Nanyi saw that he had already finished making the sauce for the recipe. He couldn't help but feel some envy. Why did he have to get the hardest task?
