Chapter 994: Scamming Once Again (1/2)
Dalila Leehan stared at him in anger before she heaved a breath, her rosy lips pouting in annoyance. Her bosoms slightly bounced as she folded her arms.
”If I win, I want you to apologize to Nora!”
”That's all?” Davis frowned.
No lectures? He expected her to chastise him as the way he behaved was rude and uncalled for when seen from the outside perspective.
”That's all!” Dalila Leehan looked dead serious.
Davis stared at her in confusion for two whole seconds before he nodded.
”Sure, if you win, I can apologize, but don't expect my apology to be... sincere!” he emphasized.
”You! Don't you understand that those slanders were just rumors!?”
Davis sneered, ”What do you know?”
Dalila Leehan was about to retort, but he continued.
”Nevertheless, since you want me to do something if you won, isn't it only fair that you do something for me if I win instead?”
He inwardly mused that he was in no way he was going to let this chance slip out of his hand. Since Dalila Leehan seemed to be a genuine Top Pill Disciple of the Thousand Pill Palace, he felt that it would be beneficial to have her owe him.
This way, if he needed any resources, he could contact her instead of searching for it by himself!
”Of course! You can ask me anything as long as it's within my ability to do it!” Dalila Leehan patted her bosom lightly before she realized something and frowned, ”You cannot ask me of something unscrupulous to do!”
'Unscrupulous... I wonder if she meant in the meaning of illegal or sexual, perhaps both?' A passing thought flashed past Davis's head before he simply gave the nod.
”That settles it then... If you win, I apologize to Nora Alstreim! If I win, you owe me a favor!”
He didn't entertain her any longer and flew towards the door before he entered the Pill Arena.
Dalila Leehan looked at his back as she stood still, her impression of him somewhat becoming better as he had accepted to apologize.
However, she mildly narrowed her eyes as she recalled. The way he questioned her, it was like he knew about Nora Alstreim's wrongdoing personally. Her brows were furrowed in contemplation, but she didn't think too much of it as she had her own belief and preconceived notions about other characters.
She flew forwards and entered the Pill Arena through the door.
Blinding light flashed over her from the bright skies, and the cheers and noises of the crowd entered her ears. It made her feel giddy and caused her to come out of her previous mindset as her posture subconsciously straightened. It was as if only alchemy was visible in her eyes right now.
