8 Striking a Deal. (1/2)

David was being let to the General's tent, however when they had arrived at the tent David was asked to stay for a while since the commander wanted to ask permission to meet the General.

The general's tent looked like every other tent on the campus however it was bigger and had guards stationed at the entrance. One of them looked at him in contempt and the other with fear.

Moments later, the commander went outside the tent as he went near David and escorted him inside the tent after they entered the tent, the general smiled as he greeted him with the utmost respect. ”Welcome to the survival camp. I am Lieutenant General Tullius Mccoy, May I ask for esteemed master's name?”

David lightly smiled as he replied, ”I am David Ombra, also a survivor like you.” then he changed his tone to a slightly colder one as he asked the general. ”Tell me generally, do you want these people to live or do you want them to starve to death here?”

The General squinted his eyes as he replied ”Of course I want to save them. What use have I both as a General and a Human being if I cannot save these innocent people.”

David looked at the Generals eyes, His eyes were full of resolution, even though the general was hell-bent on saving these people, however, if you look closely there is fear as well as a tint of desolation behind his eyes that we're full of resolution and dedication to his people.

Then he told the general. ”That is good but don't let your fear get ahead of you and your goal, back to the topic. Do you have some working vehicles?”

And the general replied. ”Most of the vehicles won't work but there are 2 M1117 ASV, 3 Humvees and a surprisingly a Jumbo-Class Cruiser Bus.” David was about to ask another question but Tullius replied like he knew what was going to be asked. ”We have nearly 400 people living on the campus, Around 90 of which are moderately wounded but 18 are severely wounded and there are 73 soldiers on and off duty.”

David smiled as turned around and told the General. ”Gather the people and turn on the vehicles. We will go to a safer place. We will leave after an hour and a half” after he went out he called the commander and asked him to get Michael.

Nearly a minute after, Michael arrived as he looked at David seriously as he said ”We need to help these people. Some are at death's door already.” David replied ”Don't worry about this. We will take all the people to the Village since there are 6 vehicles that are ready to deploy.”

Michael sighed in relief as he thanked him. David also told him to get the twins so they will help them in escorting the transportation vehicles without getting attacked or destroyed.

David entered the Gymnasium, it reeked of blood and there were many people lying on the ground, however, there is a schoolgirl lying on the ground crying with multiple scratch wounds and some bite wounds that have yet to be treated, she gave off an aura that makes others uncomfortable but David was very familiar with this aura.

He asked one of the medics why the girl was not treated yet. The medic, however, shook her head as she said that no one would like to go near her. So David made up his mind as he went near the girl.

When he approached her, the girl suddenly shouted as she begged him ”Don't go near me! I don't want to hurt you!”

He acted as if he had not heard the girl's begging as he continued going near the girl and when he was about to ask her if she was okay but her eyes turned green as a black substance covered her arms.

When David saw this he smiled as he determined that he will help her overcome this mutation of hers.

She attacked using her claws but David just dodged every attack but at the right moment he had hit her neck strong enough to knock her out cold for a day. David used his identification skill on her if his assumptions were correct
