As soon as April came, more and more rain began to fall. Although it was not every day, the land of the capital was still soaked with moisture.
Because of the rain, Si Xinhong did not go to the martial ground this morning. He sat by the window and read a book. As he listened to the sound of falling water, he happened to see the page where the rain hit the bananas. His hand that was about to flip over the page stopped. He looked over the windowsill and saw a few tender leaves that were exuding a green glow in the rain. The corner of his mouth revealed a faint smile.
He heard the sound of several bowls and spoons colliding with each other outside his room. Only then did he put down the book in his hands, get up, and walk outside. When Ah Ling saw Si Xin Hong coming out, she immediately revealed a smile: Young Master, breakfast is ready.
Si Xin Hong's gaze swept across Ah Ling's body slightly, and did not display any reaction to her overly attentive smile, he just indifferently sat on the table, picked up his chopsticks, and started to eat.
Ah Ling stood by the side with his hands folded. Although he wanted to be considerate in his service, he did not know where to start.
Just as she was thinking to herself, she heard a burst of footsteps outside the door. Lin Zisang was holding onto a small plate in his hands, with half a plate of Red Oiled Corrupt Milk on it.
”Fortunately, it's not too late,” Lin Zisang revealed a relaxed smile. He slowed down his footsteps and slowly walked to the small table, placing the thing in his hand on the table.
It had been more than half a month since she'd taken care of Si Xinhong's diet, and she'd figured out some of his tastes. Even if he has never been picky with food, Si Xin Hong does prefer red oil humus as a snack. This morning, when she went to look in the small jar, he found it empty. Yunshan Courtyard was unable to find it at the moment. She searched for a long time in the warehouse before finally finding a small jar in the inconspicuous corner.
However, Lin Zisang never thought that Ah Ling would suddenly rise to prominence today, placing the task of delivering breakfast onto her own shoulders.
”Bring me another bowl of porridge.” Si Xin Hong's expression was indifferent, but it was clear that he had gained his appetite.
Being swept by his gaze, Ah Ling took a step back unwillingly and turned to leave.
”Father has never allowed me to eat this much,” Si Xin Hong suddenly said. Lin Zisang immediately listened attentively.
”The days of the soldiers at the borders are not as good as those in the capital, not even as far away as some of the countryside. It's normal to eat whatever you have to eat,” he said as he lowered his eyes to look at the red curd milk floating on top of the porridge in his bowl.
With regards to Si Xin Hong, Lin Zisang had a selfish desire to please him, but she still treated him as his younger brother. Although ten years old was already considered as a very old age, to have Si Yuan treat Si Xin Hong like this, it was still too harsh.
Lin Zisang was quiet for a while, she heard the rain outside the door which had slowly stopped, he tried to break his fingers, and directly told Si Xin Hong to calculate the price, ”Young master, even if you convert the other small dishes into money, you would need at least one piece of the previous dish, but you can buy two big pieces of the rotten milk with one coin. You can only eat half a piece per day, and the money will be divided into four portions.
Her words and expression didn't seem comforting at all. It was as if Si Xin Hong had really taken advantage of her. Despite her self-confidence, Si Xin Hong couldn't help but smile at her.
”I did not expect this algorithm, when father comes back, I'm afraid that even big sister Zisang would have to give it to him.”
