Li Xueqing glanced at her and said, “You actually know how to wash your hands. Seems like you’re not that ill-mannered. Why did you do such a disgraceful thing anyway?”

Li Beinian picked up her chopsticks and used it to pick up some vegetables before placing them in her mouth.

“You have no manners at all. You ought to let your elders eat first!” Li Haoran barked coldly.

Li Beinian looked up, expressed assent and said, “Elders, it’s time to eat.”

Li Haoran’s face grew sullen and Fang Zhili hurriedly waved. “Okay, okay. It’s time for a meal. Niannian has just returned home and she’s insensible. Don’t hold it against her.”

“Just returned home? She’s been home for a week and she’s still so rude! Besides, she doesn’t even address me as her father. Those who don’t know might think that we’ve brought an ancestor home.”
