If it wasn't for the fact that the food he introduced had arrived, and if it wasn't for the fact that the boss' eyes were burning with passion, Ling Chen might only look at Jian Fan and not say anything!

”Time to eat!” Jian Fan stared at Ling Chen. He picked up a piece of baked potato and slowly put it into his mouth.

”Alright!” Ling Chen smiled, picked up a string of mutton skewers and put it into his mouth. Then, he took a sip of beer.

The potato chips were roasted very well. As soon as the savory flavor entered his mouth, he picked up a piece and ate it. Then, he felt like he was addicted to this taste.

One by one, she finished the potato chips on her plate and wiped her mouth.

Ling Chen bit down on the lamb. Seeing her satisfied expression, a warm smile appeared on his face.

”Little Fan, actually, I …” Ling Chen spoke with sincerity.

Jian Fan smiled, quietly waiting for his explanation.

”I did that. However, the truth is not like that. If I have the time, I can tell you the sequence of events! ” Ling Chen explained, but Jian Fan's phone suddenly rang.

She frowned as she picked it up. After listening for a while, her face turned pale.

She was no longer in the mood to listen to Ling Chen's explanation. She picked up her bag, turned around and ran out.

”Boss, the bill.” Ling Chen placed the notes on the table and quickly followed.

Jian Fan rushed out of the barbeque stall. Without waiting for Ling Chen, she called a taxi.

The alleyway of the Higher Education Mega Centre was very narrow. There were two stalls for the purchase of snacks on both sides of the alleyway. The narrow space in the middle could only fit one car.

Ling Chen's car was stuck on the side, and even if a taxi wanted to come in, there was no room for it.

Seeing the cabs in front of him blocking the way, Jian Fan went to find a random taxi with a displeased expression. He opened the door and was about to enter when Ling Chen grabbed his arm and dragged him onto his Lincoln.

”No matter what you're going to do, my car is the fastest transportation here.” Ling Chen fastened Jane Fan's seat belt and kissed her on the forehead.

Jane Fan distastefully avoided it, but had to admit that what he said was the truth.

”Then hurry up!”

”Alright!” Ling Chen smiled, ruffled Jane Fan's hair, started the car, and quickly left University City's Little Food Street.

The car sped along the road. That unique sign made all the other cars make way for it. Soon, he arrived at his destination.

Opening the car door, Jian Fan alighted. Ling Chen was about to get in, but when he saw the person walking towards him, he stopped in his tracks.

”Chen, why are you here? Could it be that your woman is pregnant? ” Song Chengyou looked at Ling Chen with a mocking expression.

Ling Chen frowned as he walked past him, but he caught hold of his sleeve.

”Release!” Ling Chen coldly said. At this moment, he urgently wanted to share the pain and suffering with Jian Fan.

”Chen. You can't go there! ” Song Chengyou stopped him.

”Don't you want to know why Jian Fan is so angry at you?” Seeing that Ling Chen was showing signs of ignoring him, Song Chengye gave him a dose of medicine.

”Speak!” Ling Chen stopped walking, and his beautiful eyes lit up in the darkness.

Song Chengyou pursed his lips and opened the door of Ling Chen's car.

Ling Chen drove Song Chengyou out of the hospital.

Jian Fan rode the elevator to the floor where Zhou Tong was. Ye Han was already waiting at the door.

Seeing her approach, he immediately led her to the operating room.

Seeing the light, Jian Fan frowned. Tongtong's body had always been good, so why would she suddenly need surgery?

”The doctor said that she was suffering from postoperative infection after miscarriage. She needed surgery to dispel the fever!” Ye Han spoke, his tone was somewhat sorrowful.

When Jian Fan heard this, his expression froze.

”Abortion?” She stared blankly at Ye Han, ”Big brother, when did this happen?”

”I, I don't know either.” Ye Han shook his head. If he knew that Zhou Tong was pregnant, he wouldn't have agreed to her divorce agreement.
