Chapter 519 - Help Me First (1/2)
“Amazing, really amazing! Hahaha…” Very Fat laughed until the fats on his face trembled, and he was unable even to straighten his back. He patted Dark Earl’s shoulder heartily, then smiled and said, “Aiyo, Dark, I never thought you would be so cunning to secretly plant Explosion Bats onto others, hahaha…”
Dark Earl’s face darkened, and he pushed away that oily hand. He said hatefully, “If I really knew that skill, I would have definitely killed you first!”
After Dark Earl became the scapegoat, the two of them finally escaped from being hunted down by the solo players. That group of people was counted as the strongest amongst solo players, or else they wouldn’t have been able to obtain the key into the map with their damage output, right? Following that group of players, Lin Jie easily crossed the Chaotic Land, which spawned large numbers of Elemental Sorcerers.
“Leader Lone Wolf, this is the General’s Tomb. It’s inconvenient for everyone to advance together, so we’ll leave first,” a player said loudly—he was the one that had negotiated with Lin Jie at the start.
They were grateful to Lin Jie, who had removed the “Explosion Bats” and saved everyone present. Before they left, they glared at Dark Earl and Very Fat fiercely, making both guild leaders feel awkward.
Lin Jie smiled and said, “Alright, let’s not mind such small things. Since the three of us have gathered, why not form a team together so that we can look out for one another? In this map, Very Fat’s Holy Light skills would be of much use.”
“Sure, to be able to form a team and train with Brother Lone Wolf is something everyone would wish for. Just nice, I’ll be able to see the strength of the City of Light’s City Leader with my own eyes, hahaha,” said Very Fat merrily.
A team, including the few most influential and powerful people in the City of Light, was formed just like that.
The map inside the General’s Tomb’s tomb was split into four parts, one of them was the [General’s Mausoleum], which was the land where the Wind Earl rested eternally. To enter it, one must obtain the Mediumship Orb. Meanwhile, the other three maps were [Hall of Abomination], [Hall of Corpses], and [Soldier’s Tomb]. Each map had a Mediumship Tower, and in the tower was a guardian Boss. One would be able to obtain the Mediumship Orb by killing the Boss.
The General’s Tomb map was incredibly vast, so for example, Lin Jie and the others planned to head to the map [Soldier’s Tomb]. There were hundreds of tombs there. Each one would spawn numerous monsters, that place could accommodate plenty of players to farm monsters. Even if there were another ten groups of people up to 1,000 players, this place would still seem extremely spacious.
“To obtain the Mediumship Orb, we have to satisfy the conditions for entering the Mediumship Tower, or else the gates of the Mediumship Tower will not open. The condition to opening the Mediumship Tower in the Soldier’s Tomb was to clear the Soldier’s Tomb in 30 minutes,” said Lin Jie.
The settings of the Mediumship Tower was straightforward—one just had to satisfy a certain condition. These tombs were all training grounds, and the timer would start the instant one stepped inside. One would succeed if they cleared the Soldier’s Tomb in 30 minutes.
Dark Earl asked, “Your final goal is still the General’s Mausoleum, right? It can only be entered with the three Mediumship Orbs, and the respawn time for each Mediumship Orb is 24 hours. That group of solo players must have obtained one or even two of them, it can’t be that we are going just to wait for it to respawn?”
“The Mediumship Orb would definitely be dropped after death…” said Lin Jie calmly.
“Eh?” Dark Earl was stunned. He was unable to react in time to the change in Lin Jie’s attitude.
Very Fat’s eyes were filled with admiration. It was obvious he liked Lin Jie’s personality very much. He smiled and said, “Alright, let us hurry and enter the map, before the next Boss respawns, quite a number of our people should have entered so when there are enough people, then we’ll do a good clearing of the General’s Tomb.”
The harmless-and-innocent-looking fatso emphasized the two words “good clearing”. It was obvious that the clearing he meant not only included the monsters in the General’s Tomb.
Lin Jie smiled slightly—those who could become the guild leaders of major guilds should not be taken lightly!
Don’t just see that Very Fat and Dark Earl were all flustered from being hunted down by the solo players. If they were to cooperate, then it would be no problem at all if they wanted to kill all those players. They only wanted to see if they could use such a small matter of being hunted down as an excuse to come in contact with Lin Jie.
“Let’s go, enter the map. It’s not that simple to obtain the Mediumship Orb.” Lin Jie smiled. He directly entered one of the soldier’s tombs. The Soldier’s Tomb was a dungeon-type map, it may look empty, but once players entered, there would be monsters spawned.
“The number of monsters is fixed at 100. Once we step inside, we would trigger the spawn of the monsters. Their strength is around that of a Gold Boss, but their health points are relatively low,” said Lin Jie. “Later, Guild Leader Very Fat will tank the monsters, while Guild Leader Earl will help me in dealing damage, any problems?”
Very Fat took out his weapon meekly. “I am a Retribution Paladin.”
Although Retribution Paladin and Protection Paladin were both Paladins, there was a vast difference between them. The Retribution Paladins’ equipment mainly focused on Strength and Wisdom stats, their Health Points and Defense values were even weaker than Weapon Specialists—they could not be an MT at all.
Dark Earl’s job was Vampire, such a job was mighty when farming alone, but it would seem a little weak in teams.
“No worries, let’s start.” Lin Jie did not explain and directly charged into the Soldier’s Tomb. Just as he stepped into that damp and sticky soil, a few skeleton hands instantly appeared from underneath the soil. How monsters in Soldier’s Tomb appeared were similar to the Skeleton Soldiers before. The only difference was this land included almost all types of Undead in the General’s Tomb.
Once he stepped into the soldier’s tomb, four Wind Sorcerers, two Wind Horse Archers, and three Wind Assassins instantly crawled out. The appearance of these monsters was much more presentable than those Skeleton Soldiers as the staff in the Sorcerer’s hands was sparkling brightly and filled with the powerful strength of Wind Elements. The Horse Archers also rode Undead Warhorses while the Assassins instantly turned into black shadows and charged towards Lin Jie the instant they appeared.
