Chapter 403 - Let The FEAST Begin! (1/2)
”Sh*t! This is such a bad idea! Are we really f*cking doing this?! Even Shadow thought this was such an insane plan!”
On a hill a little distance away from Brien Theater, Solitary Tempest along with the members of Revenants and another group of skilled players handpicked by the imperial army are currently watching the battle unfolding between the dead and the living a little distance away from them.
”Shut it, Viper! Doesn't this excite you?! Us fighting an army of boneheads! Amitabha~!” Minoker said with a maniacal laugh while pressing his palms together.
Viper glared at him and said, ”Shut up~ you hypocritic monk!”
While Black Genesis just rolled his eyes and said, ”Oh please, just shut up will you?”
Meanwhile, the three women just ignored the men behind them and carefully watched the happenings below them with keen eyes as they continued waiting for an opportunity to spear through a particular side of the battlefield where there would be fewer numbers of the undead.
While on the other hand, the players who accepted this impossible quest with them are currently engaged into themselves as they busied themselves for the inevitable while preparing for everything that could increase their survival rate on this suicide mission, from the initiating team buffs, preparing the highest grade potions to even preparing expensive elixirs in a moment of need.
”I can't believe that we're gonna do a raid with the mysterious Revenants Guild. Just thinking about it is already making me excited” one of the players at the back said with eyes shining with excitement and anticipation.
”I know right? They have been making huge waves lately, especially when the major guilds can't do anything to them” added a player holding a large shield.
”Yeah, they're like slippery eels. No one can catch them” another player said.
Of course, while some are happy and excited, there are also some who are unsatisfied with the arrangement for the raid, thinking that they deserve better.
”Tsk, does being a member of Revenants Guild make them good players? I bet they're just riding on the coattails of Solitary Tempest” lightly whispered an unsatisfied player with arms crossed.
”Oh please~! You're just bitter that they're better than you” mocked a player from another group, which elicited laughter from the others, but at the same time, they can also understand what the man is feeling.
It's that feeling of unfairness when seeing someone is doing better than them and thinks that the world doesn't treat them any better.
Of course, someone feeling unsatisfied with what they have is not a sin to have as it's what motivates a person to keep moving forward, but it shouldn't be so excessive that it could ruin you and the lives of others.
”F*ck off, b*tch!” the angered player glared at the woman who dared to berate him in front of the others.
But the woman wasn't intimidated, instead she threw another rebuttal saying, ”You're the b*tch! You should be the one who should f*ck from here, haven't you heard the words 'hard work'?”
”Success comes from hard work, because hard work doesn't betray your efforts. You're just self centered and think that you should be the only one who should be successful while others shouldn't, what a selfish bastard you are!”
The man became more offended, especially when he saw the disdainful smirks around him.
”You bi-”
”Silence!”
The man was about to attack the woman when a domineering voice of a woman, followed by a flash of light appeared and it quickly silenced all of them, and every player on the spot couldn't help but slowly turn their heads towards the source of the voice, and what they saw shook most of them.
”W-warsong Liger!”
”Oh my god, one of them actually owns a Warsong Liger! Isn't that the Field Boss in the Warsong Prairie?! How did they even capture it?!”
”That is mad bro! Quick, take a picture of it!”
Ripley looked at the players with cold eyes through her mask and said, ”If you can't concentrate at the task on hand, then in consideration for the others. I politely ask you to leave and never come back or else…”
”Who ga- Umm! Umm!”
