30 Episode 30: Black Fox and Man Competition (2/2)

It wasn't darkness, it was a furry fox as dark as darkness.

A fox nearly 3m in size.

”That... is too big. Let's stop it.”

The shadow fox I found was bigger than I expected, so I decided to change my target and look for a shadow fox somewhere else.

”I wonder if there's a smaller shadowfox.”

Running through the woods and encountering a bunch of shadowfoxes doesn't work with all the big individuals.

”It's time for the sun to set. We need to find him quickly.”

And, when time was running out and I was in a hurry, new signs of Shadowfox caught on detective magic.

”How about now!?”

Hurry to the destination point and it was a very small shadowfox figure who was there.

”Found it! This would be awesome!

Shadowfox notices me approaching and takes a battle stance.

”Quo Vaughn!!”

Shadowfox storms this way with great momentum with ambition.

Shadowfox popped in with his fangs protruding as he stuffed the distance in an instant.

The aim is this one's throat.

”What!

I knew what I was after, and I'd dodge Shadowfox's attack and slap the mutant sword in.

You don't have to worry about the state of your prey for this battle.

Shadowfox tries to avoid my attack by twisting his body, but his own speed catastrophically takes the form of hitting my sword from himself.

And after we crossed, there was a shadow fox that was cut horizontally and turned into two pieces.

”All right, hurry up and join Mr. Liliera and the others back to the King's Capital!

Returning to the Adventurer's Guild in Wang Du, Mr. Roddy and his men had already returned.

I take my hunted shadow fox out of the magic bag and put it on the bench.

I saw my defeated shadowfox. Mr. Roddy looks like he ate a shoulder watermark.

So what Mr. Roddy put on the floor was actually a shadow fox nearly 4m in size.

The adventurers cheer when they see Mr. Roddy's crusaded Shadowfox.

And the receptionist who was appraising our crusaded prey sees his grandfather and gives him a shock.

”Guild leader!?”

Wow, I'm the leader of this guild, Wolves.

The emergence of an exact guild leader makes noise in the guild.

”Why did you stop, Guild Leader?

Question the guild leader Mr. Roddy put on waiting for the battle.

”That's the story over here. This battle is about which one of us is going to defeat the big guy, right? Then it would be a strange story to decide a battle by its size.”

”What do you mean?

”It's a big fight, so big guys are bigger, right?

I'm confused about what the adventurers around me mean.

”Apparently, you young people don't know.”

Mr. Roddy asks the guild manager in surprise.

”Shadowfox isn't big enough to be strong.”

”Then Mr. Roddy is not big enough because the guy he hunted is 4m!

And someone from Mr. Roddy's fellow woman speaks out in protest.

”Shut up and listen. Look, Shadowfox gets bigger as it grows. But at one point, Shadowfox gets smaller at the border.”

”Yes, and the smaller shadow fox is pretty strong compared to the shadow fox at a time when it's growing big. And fierce.”

”Smaller is stronger!?”

Everyone who hears the Guild Commander says he can't believe it.

”Hey Bowes. Why did you fight that Shadowfox? Any bigger shadowfox than that would have been there, right?

”What!? Did you hunt for him?”

Look at me with a face like Mr. Roddy can't believe it.

Yeah, I'm relieved.

Everyone says Mr. Roddy's Shadowfox is awesome, so I was freaking out that Shadowfox's value had changed before I knew it, but apparently not from what the guild leader said.

But then why didn't they all realize the value of this Shadowfox over here?

”The guild leader is right, I chose this Shadowfox for a reason. That's me!

And I took something out of the shadow fox, which was cut in two.

”Is that... a demon stone!?”

Yes, Mr. Roddy is right, what I took out was Shadowfox's nuclear stone, or demon stone.

”Yes, Shadowfox is likely to have a demon stone because he is an A-rank demon. And when it comes to a small shadow fox, that magic stone becomes bigger.”

”Is the small one bigger than the demon stone?!?”

”Shadowfox is a demon whose strength and demonic stones become big as his body grows smaller. Though, it looks like he's been hunting for big body Shadowfox fur all these days, and he's just a bunch of people who don't know the area.”

Oh, I see. Wasn't there a shadow fox that was old enough for nuclear stones because they were hunting all young shadow foxes for fur?

”Try dismantling your shadow fox, too. Even if there was a demon stone, it would be smaller than this one.”

”Yes!

The guild chief told me that the demolisher who was waiting would rush to start dismantling Mr. Roddy's shadowfox.

”There was, it's a demon stone!

And everyone pays attention to the nuclear stones the demolisher took out.

”Small......”

As someone said, the nuclear stone that came out of Mr. Roddy's shadow fox was less than half the size of the nuclear stone in my shadow fox.

”Then this battle...”

The adventurers see the guild leader.

”Oh, that's Bowes' win over there”

Adventurers cheer for the Alliance Director's declaration.

”Awesome! I beat that Bowes S-rank!

”You mean it wasn't a coincidence that you defeated Kaiserhawk!

The adventurers bless us with their mouths.

I kind of can light it up.

”I'm not convinced!

And that's when Mr. Roddy's people raise their voices.

”Yes! Lord Roddy's defeated prey is bigger! This one is determined to be more vicious!

Apparently, they are unconvinced by the victory or loss and start protesting against the Alliance leader.

”I can't believe the smaller one is stronger! Bigger weighs more and it's dangerous!

”Yes! The smaller one looks weaker no matter what you think!

Well, this is troublesome.

It's actually the smaller ones that are strong, but they're already dead, so I can't even prove their strength.

But Mr. Roddy stopped them.

”Stop it, both of you.”

”But Mr. Roddy!

”The guild chief is declaring his victory. It's just embarrassing to complain.”

”Oh no... hey chains! Say something from you, too!

And the wizard shook his head to the side.

”Demons with big demonic stones are strong. So that demon over there is stronger.”

Oh, that wizard seems to be defending us.

And Karan, Cologne and spit something out fall to the ground.

”Oh, speaking of which, earlier this kid was eating by knocking out a little shadowfox in the woods. That's when you swallowed it together.”

And, Liliera explains in a public discourse noli.

”This creature defeated Shadowfox!?”

I'm surprised Mr. Roddy is lying!? and turns his eyes round.

”Or is it me? A dog?”

”No cat? Rabbit?

The adventurers seem to care about Moffmoff in a different way.

”Well, this is a medium size. Isn't that bigger than the guy your S-rank hunted?

and said when the guild chief saw the spitting demon stone of Mohmof.

Sure, not as big as my hunted Shadowfox demon stone if you look closely, but bigger than Mr. Roddy's demon stone.

”Oh, my demon stone is smaller than the prey defeated by this poorly understood creature...?

I wonder why, it also seemed to me that Moffmoff was proud of his victory over Mr. Roddy.
