8 Lesson 8: Dragon Armor and Easy Training (1/2)

My name is John.

I am Viscount Grimore's competent butler.

Today is the day I come to the Adventurer Alliance again to scout the mysterious adventurer who defeated the Dragon.

It is time for my Lord Viscount Grimoire to return from the auction that was being held in the King's Capital.

So if you don't scout the adventurer in the matter by then, it's seriously yummy.

No, I must be competent and a member of the Viscount family.

Only to the extent that it makes the Lord's impression a little worse.

Is that true?

Nevertheless, my pride will not tolerate any further delay.

I walked into the guild building and headed straight for the reception.

Originally, it would be easier to summon civilians if the name of the Viscount were given, but the refusal of the previous invitation to dinner made it difficult to do so.

Basically, the Adventurer Guild is friendly towards the Lords.

Otherwise, it will be difficult to use adventurers' good offices in the Territory.

So if the Lords request it, the Alliance will act as an intermediary to convey this invitation to the Adventurer.

But when an adventurer declines an invitation from an aristocrat, the guild begins to decline good offices to that adventurer after the next time.

Disclosure of information, of course.

This is because the organization protects the existence of a unique force of adventurers.

I say, you have to be free with adventurers.

Therefore, we must not yield to tyrannical power.

It's not a strange statement to be accused of disrespect, but it was the Adventurer's Guild's first guild leader who said it was a masterpiece that protected people from the global disaster that once occurred.

Against that background, countries allowed adventurer guilds the right to veto irrational orders from the state and the right to protect adventurers.

In other words, noble power cannot be used to call, so we have to go out from ourselves and negotiate directly with the person.

It's a total pain in the ass.

I head to my usual reception and ask if there are any adventurers in the matter.

”Welcome to the Adventurer Alliance, Master John”

”Greetings are good, do you have an example adventurer?

This reception is called Elma, a beauty unlike any adventurer guild who wanders with the desolate.

She has been responding to me as an exclusive on this matter since I asked her to take care of the adventurer.

”Yeah, just in time. He would have just come earlier.”

Oh, you can finally meet the adventurer who crusaded the dragon!

How many times have you stretched your legs here?

I send my gaze to the lobby wondering who the hell killed the dragon.

And I realized there was a big crowd in there.

”If it was him, I would just ask...”

”No problem, understood”

There, there's a dragon killer in that crowd.

”Oh, hey, Master John!?”

I immediately initiate action.

What kind of person are dragon killers after all?

Are you a warrior, a wizard, or how many pairs of adventurers?

Different questions arise in my head.

Anyway, the Alliance didn't return any answers to this question.

That's why I wasn't even excited about Gala finally being able to worship the rumored dragon killer.

”Excuse me.”

Drawing the crowd, I head to the center.

And I saw it.

A man dressed in thin green, shimmering armor.

Convinced, this man is the rumored dragon killer.

”What do you say, this glow, this isn't normal armor?”

Apparently, Lord Dragon Killer was showing off his brilliant armor.

Surprisingly, it seems like a vulgar personality.

Sure, that's not just armor. I'm not an adventurer. Isn't it glowing that attracts interest even when I see it?

”Excuse me, may I?

”Ah? Who, you?

The dragon killer who interrupted the conversation looks grumpy and looks at this one.

That gaze is inexcusable, and I can see that the poor growth is plausible.

But strength isn't all about growing up, because this man is now crusading dragons.

”Excuse me. I am available to Viscount Grimoire to mend this town, my name is John”

”Viscount Grimore!?”

The Dragon Killer, as well as the adventurers around him, give a voice of surprise.

I can't help but be surprised at them. Because noble officials do not speak up to the usual adventurer style.

”Can I have your name, if you don't mind?

”Oh, me!?”

”Yes.”

”I'm an org... an org. So what's the nobility for...?

Lord Dragon Killer, no, Lord Org asks me why I've been speaking to him.

Words are crude, but there seems to be some respect for the nobility to the extent that they correct the tone along the way.

”Actually, I was looking for an adventurer worthy of the conditions that are the life of Viscount Grimoire.”

”An adventurer worthy of certain conditions?

”Yes, for example, a man of strength who can wear such brilliant armor.”

”Armor?”

Lord Aug turns his attention to his armor.

”We will see that armor, quite a lot of business. Even ordinary people like me can see it as quite good.”

This is serious.

I don't understand the good and bad of weapons and protective equipment, but I am quite confident in the aesthetic eye because I am entrusted with the management of Viscount Grimore's artwork.

My eyes tell me that this armor was created by a leading craftsman.

”You know what I mean? He's a special piece of armor created by that famous man, Goldoff.”

Goldoff!? I've heard of it. He is an armorer in our territory who is said to contend for one or two in neighboring countries.

Naturally Viscount Grimoire also possesses the sword of Gordoff.

That was a delicacy to call a work of art, decorated with wonderful and beautiful decorations.

But that's why Goldoff's weaponry is quite expensive for the civilian population.

I guess this man is still quite capable of being an adventurer because he can buy it.
