479 An Eye for An Eye (1/2)

The three high-tier Demon officers mourned the death of Walkers for a moment before discussing amongst themselves. Through their discussion, Jiang Fei had managed to understand the content of the letter.

The letter was supposed to be a request for reinforcements. However, by the outcome of the fight, the request was useless since the fortress that Walkers held was destroyed and Walkers himself had died.

Ivan turned to Jiang Fei and said, ”My brother, you have my thanks for delivering this important document. However, I am unable to have my revenge for Walkers since we are currently at war with the Divine Light Fortress. I have a favor to ask of you. Since we are of the same blood, I would not hold back. I need your help!”

”What can I help you with?” replied Jiang Fei. He was expecting it since the letter delivery quest was the most vanilla method to start a quest.

”Even though we can not take any time out to have revenge for brother Walkers, there is no way I would allow my fellow Demon to die unavenged,” said Ivan.

Ding! Frontline Commander Ivan has a Legendary Hidden Quest for you, An Eye for An Eye! Will you accept it?

After Ivan was finished with his speech, Jiang Fei received a system notification.

”As a fellow Demon, I will have my brother avenged!” said Jiang Fei as he accepted the Legendary Hidden Quest.

”Good answer! You are truly one of the brave Demons!” said Ivan happily.

Ding! You have accepted the quest: An Eye for An Eye!

Quest Name: An Eye for An Eye

Quest Description: The Divine Light Fortress had sent out an assassin to kill Walkers. An eye for an eye. Your mission is to infiltrate the Divine Light Fortress and assassinate the Moonlight Priest!

Quest Reward: 40,000,000 Experience Points, 1,000 Gold Coins, Equipment: Ring of Decimation, Ancient.

”Oh my...”

Jiang Fei was excited. The quest reward was extremely grand. To match the reward, the quest must be extremely hard. Jiang Fei was naturally happy to see such a grand reward for a Legendary Hidden Quest completion. However, the problem was with the difficulty. Infiltrating a fortress was not a hard task since he could fly in the sky and drop down. He would not need to worry about any of the guards that were blocking the entrance.

Even though Jiang Fei was powerful, he was only at Level 60. The NPC guards and soldiers were all at least at Level 70. The fortress was not really a fortress but a church. Even so, one must never look down on the members of the Luminous Church! A group of Level 70 Advanced Elite soldiers or even a small group of boss-tier monsters would not be easily taken down!

Fighting in the field was different than in the fortress. Field monsters were easy to kite and kill one by one. Even if there was a boss, he could use his morphing skills to kill them off, one at a time. Fighting in a fortress was not easy since NPCs could request for reinforcements when the battle started. Jiang Fei was still at the point where he could only defeat a boss one fight at a time. Should he be faced with a situation where the boss fight required him to fight with his Demon Morph skills, he would need to wait for four hours before he could fight another boss. Slowly grinding his way into the fortress would not be a good idea.

”Lord Commander, I am but willing to sacrifice my life to have revenge for the fallen Walkers. However, I fear that my life alone would not accomplish this mission,” said Jiang Fei as humbly as he could.
