953 Clinic Situation (1/2)
When Ling Ran was back home at Lower Groove Clinic, he immediately went and slept until eight the next morning. Then, he got up and washed up.
With the Energy Serum helping him, he was actually not sleepy. However, sleeping was a good feeling, especially when he could sleep on his own bed.
”Son, you're awake?” When Ling Jiezhou saw Ling Ran come down, he could not help but sigh in relief. He relaxed, and his fat tummy became soft again.
”Yes, I'm awake.”
”I made porridge for you. I even fried some pancakes and warmed up the milk for you. There is also some donkey meat and freshly cooked vegetables… I also cut you fruits…” Ling Jiezhou introduced all the delicious dishes on the table.
Ling Ran was surprised. ”What happened?”
Tao Ping smiled and stared at Ling Jiezhou before he said, ”Your dad is worried about you. When he woke up, he thought he could eat the porridge that you prepared, but when he came over, he found that the kitchen is cold, and started to worry about you.”
”Young Ran usually wakes up very early.” Ling Jiezhou was a bit embarrassed and coughed. He then asked Ling Ran, ”Is it too tiring at the hospital? Just take a two-day leave if you're too tired. Aren't you the group leader now? It should make some adjustments so that you can take leave, right?”
”I'm not too tired. I just wanted to sleep a little bit more.” Ling Ran sat in front of the table, took the chopsticks, and gobbled up the food.
”I have to say, if you want to sleep, just sleep as much as you want. Sometimes, sleeping more is better than anything else…” Ling Jiezhou smiled and sat in front Ling Ran.
Tao Ping had not seen her son for a few days. Hence, she took her teacup and sat by the side. She felt at ease when she saw her son gobbling up her food.
Ling Jiezhou suddenly realized Tao Ping's expression, smiled, and said, ”I'm thinking, is it better to keep our son in our own clinic? The clinic is earning a lot, and it is so lively and relaxing. When he is around, we can see him whenever we want, but if we don't, we can just kick him out of the clinic…”
”What kind of nonsense are you talking about? He can only have a brighter future when he stays in the hospital.” Tao Ping pretended to snort.
”Ha…” Ling Jiezhou replied and said, ”As long as my wife is happy, who cares about our son's future…?”
”Stop talking nonsense.” Tao Ping rolled her eyes at her husband, but a smile could be seen on her face.
”I'm done eating.” Ling Ran put down the bowl and stood up.
Ling Jiezhou shouted behind him. ”Eat a bit more. Don't waste it… What do you want to eat for lunch?”
”Anything.” Ling Ran patted his stomach and sat on the reclining chair at the yard.
Ling Jiezhou was stunned when he heard that. ”Huh, are you really having lunch at home?”
”Yes.” Ling Ran's reply was straightforward.
”You're not going to hospital?”
”I'm resting for today.”
”Did anything happen at the hospital?”
”No.”
”Then, what's so special about today?”
Ling Ran sighed. ”The hospital beds are fully occupied.”
