AST 2426 - Breaking Formation, Scary Guardian Demonic Lion (1/2)

“What are you thinking about?” Beihuang held and shook Qing Shui’s hand.

Qing Shui came back to alertness only to realize that he had been puzzled for a moment. He shook his head, “Let’s go to that side, let me see what formation it is outside this Daoist temple.”

He could be certain that it was a formation outside of the Daoist temple.

It was a deserted land around the Daoist temple. There were some bushes despite being deserted. There were also a few scattered huge trees here which were like huge sunshades. There were several tens of thousands of people here, even after an unknown number of people had left the place. Previously, as the Daoist temple was discovered, almost everyone was attracted.

Yet, after several months, there were only very few people left here. Still, there were about several ten thousands of people. Among them, many were strong warriors. These people generally came from the Nine Star Domain. As for the Nine Moons Domain and Nine Suns Domain, there were basically none of them. After all, every domain in the Upper Three Regions was so big that it was unrealistic to go back and forth.

Heavenly Vision Technique!

Qing Shui looked at this Daoist temple and was surprised. The violet vapor blocked Qing Shui’s sight. Nevertheless, it was not completely blocked, so Qing Shui could still see the inside of it vaguely.

There was only one god statue here. The statue was not big, only slightly more than ten meters tall, but looked majestic. It radiated subtle awe, solemnity and holiness. There was a desk in front of the statue, with a book, three fruits and a metal-like object on top.

Qing Shui could not see clearly. He looked at other places but there was nothing and it was blurry. But Qing Shui reckoned the three items on the desk could be really extraordinary.

Qing Shui stopped observing and began feeling the formation in the surroundings.

Qing Shui had never met this kind of formation, but the principle remained the same as there were various methods. Qing Shui was considered an ancestor in his mastery of formations, an absolute ancestor. Even this ancient formation could not win over Qing Shui, as there were countless formations in Qing Shui’s mind. This was also one of Qing Shui’s biggest capitals.

After a short while, a smile crept onto Qing Shui’s face. This was a compound formation which included the Maze Formation, Repulsion Formation, and Vitality Formation. One who did not know the formations would be stopped at the doorstep or bounced back if he tried to break it. If he entered, he would be trapped in the Maze Formation. Perhaps the one who set up the formation was reluctant to kill and he was extremely confident with his formation. Hence, there would be a Gate of Life and it would lead the person who entered the Maze Formation back to the original place via the Gate of Life.

Because of the same reason, many people liked to try their luck here. After all, it was not life-threatening. Perhaps if they really entered the Daoist temple, they could probably soar up to the sky.

Qing Shui began his attempt to break the formation after informing people beside him. Also, he asked those who knew the formations to try since it was not harmful. Furthermore, Qing Shui would be here too.

Qing Shui, the two women and some others started to try entering the formation.

Qing Shui and the women were the most adept in formations, so they successfully evaded the Repulsion Formation and entered the Maze Formation. As soon as he entered, Qing Shui felt the surroundings changing abruptly. There were beautiful mountains and clear waters here. It was vast and boundless.

He advanced speedily, but it was as if there were an unlimited view and no end in this world.

“Mm, it has changed!”

Qing Shui was initially in a greenish place like a grassland, but he was now in a world covered in ice. White and bright snow was everywhere. There were also ice sculptures. It was very pure here, free from a speck of dust. It was like a world in a fairytale.

The scenes kept on changing, even the beast tide could be seen, but a huge gate would appear when one was exhausted. This was the Gate of Life. If one walked through it, he would arrive at the place where he entered the formation.

Qing Shui would not enter this gate. He was holding many Formation Flags in hand to open up a path in the midst of formation. He recalled the scenes when he entered the formation and the surroundings around the Daoist temple. Qing Shui did not meet any obstacle and advanced continuously.

Meanwhile, the two women did not enter again after coming out for several times. This Maze Formation was superb and wise.

Hao Tian and the rest were bounced off several times in the beginning. Later, they barely made it into the Maze Formation. Yet, they walked out from the Gate of Life shortly after.

Qing Shui advanced 40 scenes in the Maze Formation. Many scenes were in a quiet world. Many people walked in the scenes but still could not get out even when they were worn out. There were also several hazardous scenes which made people feel exhausted.

Many people knew this was a virtual world, but it was still very energy-consuming mentally. This was worse than physical energy consumption because despite knowing that everything was fake, they had no better ways.

The scene changed again, Qing Shui saw the Daoist temple. Qing Shui could hardly differentiate reality from virtual world now, but there were two golden lions in front of the entrance to the Daoist temple.

The two lions were about two meters tall and four meters long, considered a very small size. However, at the moment, the two sparkling gold lions were giving out frightening, bloodthirsty aura. Both of the fist-sized eyes were bloody red in color. Making eye contact with it made one feel like even the spirit was shivering.
