56 Chapter 56: Yousre my baby (2/2)

Laurice was simply stunning.

Sid haven't noticed for awhile that he has been holding his breath from the moment the woman walked out of the room. It was more than what he was expecting really. Laurice was already beautiful enough to begin with, but the woman before him now was just ... breathtaking. He could not keep his eyes away from her. Such was the fact that's making the woman feel uneasy at the moment.

...

Why were the two just kept staring at her?

It was making her freaking nervous!

Laurice was getting self-conscious somehow.

Does she look weird in a dress?

She wondered.

Well it's not like she haven't worn one before but it was sleeveless and printed and feminine. It certainly wasn't her style at all. Not to mention, she chose to curl her hair out of the blue thinking it fits the theme but was it too much then? Does it made her look like she was trying too hard?

Laurice bit her lip anxiously.

She fought the urge to go back inside the room and change into her own clothes instead when a little figure appeared right in front of her.

Little Louie was looking intently at her with his big bright hazel eyes.

”You're so beautiful, Mommy!” The child said as he reached out his arms to touch her.

Laurice was stunned.

She couldn't believe Little Louie will actually praise her. 'Kids don't lie, do they?' She laughed with her naivety and shamelessness. Her uneasiness slowly dissipate. She then gently scooped the little one in her arms and looked back at him.

With a worried expression she asked, ”You really think so sweetie?”

”You're the most beautiful mommy ever! And you're my mommy!” Little Louie declared proudly which rendered her utterly speechless.

Laurice felt a tug in her chest when she heard what Little Louie have said.

'Oh Dear! How i wish i'm really your mommy!'

Laurice thought. She wouldn't mind raising a child as sweet as him.

Laurice smiled at the child and he smiled back until they were giggling in each other's arms.

Sid was quite baffled with the scene when he heard Laurice speak again.

”You're the most handsome baby ever! And you're my baby!” She said tenderly.

Little Louie was pleasantly surprised to hear that. He instantly beamed. His eyes were glistening in sheer joy that he almost cried. Indeed, he is his 'mother's' baby. The little one burried his small body unto Laurice and to everyone's surprise, he sobbed.

Sid was dumbfounded.

This was the second time Laurice addressed his son as if he was her own. And this was also the second time around that his son bawled like a normal child. He felt a stirring of his emotions. He was giving another second look on his own life. And it was gradually changing right in front of his eyes.
