9 The sorrow of a god (1/2)
Ten years later, at Menlin Capital city.
It has been ten years since Dryad and Ariama separated. Amphia arrived to inform him that an arranged marriage has been prepared for him in his absence and he had to go. Of course it was a joke but he had to return back to Paradise immediately. The head gods called for him, so he left.
Amphia thrashed Dryad before they left. This made her angry and she never got to apologise or listen to Ariama's apology. They parted sorrowfully and angrily.
Dryad continued to plant daughter trees after her High Priestess and Priest had laid the foundation. New Head Priestesses and Priests had been appointed but their leaders were still Ditoria and Eldor. All of them had corresponding precious green gemstones on their foreheads. Not even the priests in the Church of Water had blue gemstones in their heads.
All nineteen continents have been covered and only the one Ilerisa lived in was untouched. Dryad sent home her High Priestess and Priest just so she could deal with him alone. He was one of the causes of her problems and she had deep hatred for him.
She moved from country to country, planting beliefs and trees. Where Ilerisa stayed was at the top of the continent where water was in most concentration. For this mission, she had to use level four curse seeds and the highest level of curse seeds were level five. That is to show that the arrays in the biggest continents were all strong.
She arrived in Menlin Capital after two years and stayed with a young family. The man of the house and his wife were both high affinity water elementals. Their child was still grey as she was too young to have an affinity. However, the child was sick with an incurable disease.
Dryad cured this disease at the cost of having the piece of land at the back. The young couple were overjoyed and gifted the land to her. They were not suspicious as she appeared blue skinned to them.
First thing she did was to build a fence around the piece of land. Next she decomposed the stones to form humus soil and then she started planting. She did this for two months diligently with Shadow watching her.
\”Lady Dryad, may I say something?\”
\”Yes Shadow?\”
\”You miss Lord Ariama, don't you?\”
\”I do but I'm still mad at him. He hid something important from me\”
\”But you hid something from him too. You both committed the same offence. Why is it hard to make up?\”
\”It's because we both have complicated feelings and we don't know how to properly apologise\”
