Chapter 6 (1/2)
”Father, leonpat invited us to the manor for tea tomorrow night.” Eaton looked at the invitation and wondered in his eyes.
The old man with white beard was stunned by the invitation for a moment. After a while, he smiled softly: ”it seems that this family should not die tonight.”
Eaton was stunned. Knowing that his father was not ready to let him go to the slaughterhouse tonight, he smiled and said, ”it's also a matter of knowing current affairs, but I don't know why he changed his mind?”
The old man with white beard smiled, pointed to the wooden box and said, ”maybe it's because of this wooden box.”
The night gradually faded, the bloody night did not come to pat manor, and the next day the sun was still warm on every inch of the land in the manor.
No one knows. They escaped a robbery. Of course, including angel.
Early in the morning, angel took some maids to the tea garden to pick the freshest tea. Although this season is a freezing winter outside, the tea garden is still as warm as spring after Jon's greenhouse improvement.
For the tea party in the evening, angel told the maid to pick a lot of tea leaves with morning dew after the rain. One part is used to brew tea at night, and the other part is given to mana to fry tea. Only by rolling the tea at high temperature can the tea retain its original flavor for a long time. He was going to give the roasted tea as a companion gift to the count of Eaton.
Seeing the tea entering the green stage, angel left the tea garden and returned to the Diaojiaolou courtyard.
Jon sat on the balcony on the second floor, basking in the warm sun rarely seen in winter, and hummed happily.
Angel stepped forward, took the ointment from the dumb servant's hand, and began to apply it to the tutor. Jon glanced and said nothing. Even though he had explained the cause of limb atrophy to Angel yesterday, he didn't seem to believe it. It doesn't matter to Jon, just regard him as an apprentice to be filial... After all, he doesn't have much time to enjoy his apprentice's filial piety. Maybe he can't even survive the frozen moon?
Jon smiled and hummed an unknown tune in the wind.
A little sad, a little free and easy.
More is endless missing.
”If I could go back to earth, I would be willing to die the next moment.” Jon didn't understand the truth of falling leaves and returning to their roots before, but now he does.
Angel's eyes were sad. He didn't know what to say at this moment to comfort his mentor. Parting was the most painful, and it was still the distance between the two worlds.
The quiet time didn't last long. Jon suddenly pointed to a half exposed transparent crystal in the balcony flowerpot and said, ”can you bring it for me?”
Angel ”en”, took out the transparent crystal from the flooded soil, wiped it with a handkerchief and handed it to Jon.
The transparent crystal is oval and looks like a glass bead from a distance.
Jon took the glass bead and watched it for a long time. The expression is sometimes resentful, sometimes sad, sometimes bitter smile.
”I abandoned it in the forest three years ago. I didn't expect it to appear in the flower pot.” Jon shook his head. ”Maybe this is life?”.
Angel looked at the teacher talking to himself and blushed, After a long time, he hesitated and said: ”I picked it up... I used to see my tutor playing with it and crying when I looked at it. I guess it might be something of my tutor's family. That day, I saw you throw it into the woods and thought you didn't want to see things and think about people. Later, I picked it up and buried it in a flower pot. I thought it would be useful if my tutor regretted it one day.”
Jon was stunned and muttered in his own voice: ”maybe it's fate with you?”
