Director Wu knocked and entered. “Director, are you looking for me?” He saw Dong Xuebing in the office, and his face changed.
The Director is still angry over what happened, and she points at Director Wu. “Tell me what happened with the x-rays!” Director Wu tried to explain. “I don’t know. It might be the Doctors who had….”
“Who is it?!” The Director shouted. “I want you to point out which Doctor is it!”
“We are still investigating, and… we are not sure who was it.”
“You are not sure?! You had accompanied the patient through all his checks, and you don’t know who was it?!”
“I….” Director Wu couldn’t answer.
Director Wu suspects one of the doctors had meddled with the report during the first examination. The Doctors and nurses under him suspected it was Director Wu who had changed the report.
No one wants or dares to accept this blame as they can’t bear the consequences!
Until now, Director Wu started to regret getting involved in this incident to suck up to Xue Qingrong. He also hated Dong Xuebing for creating this problem for him.
The female Director took a deep breath and said. “Director Dong, I will investigate this matter and punish the person-in-charge!”
Dong Xuebing replied. “The person in charge is Director Wu. I want to know how your hospital is going to handle this incident.”
Director Wu turned pale when he heard this. “Director!” The Director looked at Director Wu and paused for a second. “I will call for a meeting immediately, and Director Wu will be suspended for investigation. He will also be reported to the Health Ministry and will be dismissed from his position!” The Director knows she must be decisive, or it will be too late after the papers report this incident. Dong Xuebing has the initiative, and since he is targeting Director Wu, she decides to sacrifice him. Compared to the hospital’s reputation and benefits, a Deputy Director is nothing.
“I have nothing to do with this! Director!” Dismissal?! Director Wu panics!
The Director is frustrated by him. “You are the one handling the patient from the start to the end! You have nothing to do with this?! Then who is it? Me?!”
“I……”
“That’s enough! Go back and wait for the investigation!”
Dong Xuebing is satisfied with Director Wu’s dismissal and did not say much. He took out his phone and called Lawyer Hu to ask him not to file the lawsuit first. This hints to the Director that he will not sue the hospital if Director Wu’s dismissal is confirmed. He had never thought of suing the hospital as the first x-ray report is real. If an investigation was conducted, more problems might arise. This is the best outcome, as he is only targeting Director Wu. Director Wu needs to learn that not everyone can accept his bad attitude!
The female Director sighed in relief after knowing this incident was settled.
Dong Xuebing stood up and left. As he was walking past Director Wu, he patted his shoulder and said softly. “Learn to be smart next time.”
Director Wu’s face turns green, and he knows he is done!
