The Officer hesitated for a second. “Why?”

Dong Xuebing replied. “I should be allowed to speak to the parties involved first. If we can reach a private settlement, it will be settled.”

The Officer thought for a while and nodded. He said to the driver. “Go to the Second Hospital.”

“…… Sorry to trouble you.”

Such requests should not be allowed. It is as if Dong Xuebing is asking the Enforcement Unit’s Officers to be his driver. But the Team Leader did not reject his request because he does not know about Dong Xuebing’s background. Dong Xuebing’s car is worth over two million, and the registration plate is from Beijing. Although many registration plate numbers like 7777 and 9999 had been issued in the past, it was all the wealthy and powerful people who owned them. This means Dong Xuebing has a strong background. The Team Leader does not have high authority like the District Organization Department Chief. Xue Qingrong might not care about Dong Xuebing, but the Team Leader got to give the latter ‘face.’ That’s why he chose to turn a blind eye as long as it is not against the rules. Second Hospital.

Two Officers entered the ward to explain the situation before coming out and let Dong Xuebing enter. They closed the door.

There are three people in the ward. Xue Qingrong, Xue Xiaoliang, and Director Wu.

Director Wu is telling Xue Qingrong about the treatment proposal for Xue Xiaoliang when the Officers come in to tell them about Dong Xuebing’s intentions. But Director Wu pretended not to have heard anything and continued to speak to Xue Qingrong after Dong Xuebing entered the ward. “We will monitor his condition first. Surgery is not required now, and we will finalize his medical treatment proposal tomorrow. What else do you need?”

Xue Qingrong nodded. “That’s about it.”

“Alright. Let me know if you need anything. I will leave now.”

“Thank you, Director Wu.”

“It’s my job.” Director Wu walked past Dong Xuebing without looking at him.

Dong Xuebing laughed in his heart. Are you that desperate to suck up to the Leaders? You are only a Deputy Director of the hospital! Who are you to show me such attitude?!

Only Dong Xuebing, Xue Rongqing, and his son remain in the ward.

Xue Xiaoliang, who was lying on the bed, laughed. “I thought the Police had arrested you? Why are you not at the Station? Are you going to be charged?! How many years will you be sentenced?” He laughed and coughed.

How can a Government Leader’s son have such an attitude?

Dong Xuebing is disgusted by Xue Xiaoliang and looks at Xue Qingrong. “Chief Xue.”

Xue Qingrong interrupted Dong Xuebing. “Speak to the Police if you have anything to say. Xiaoliang needs to rest. Get out!”

“We both know what happened.” Dong Xuebing looks at Xue Qingrong in his eyes. “Chief Xue, do you think this is meaningful? Your son had attacked others with a weapon, and you instigated him to give a false statement? Is this how you bring up your son? I can’t believe this is what the District’s Organization Department Chief should do!”

Xue Qingrong looks at Dong Xuebing coldly. “The evidence had shown who the attacker is! Dong Xuebing! You will pay for your crimes!”

Dong Xuebing laughed. Xue Qingrong can lie without blushing.

Xue Xiaoliang knows the Police Officers are outside, and he is mindful of his words. “When did I attack others?! Ah?! Do you have evidence? I was smoking along the road, and you attacked me for no reason. How can you claim I had attacked you?! Guo Mingfeng is my witness! Stop pretending you are innocent! You have to pay for your crimes!”

How dare you say this?! Dong Xuebing continued. “Then let’s discuss the compensation. Chief Xue, how much do you want to settle this?”

Xue Xiaoliang interrupted. “It must be at least 300,000 for the medical fees!”

300,000?! You are asking for too much! You attacked me with a baton, and I still have to give you 300,000?!

Dong Xuebing is speechless, but he still asks. “300,000 for private settlement?”

Xue Xiaoliang was about to say something, but Xue Qingrong interrupted. “You should pay for the medical fees, and we don’t need any compensation! We will not agree to a private settlement!”

Xue Xiaoliang heard his father and stopped talking.

Xue Qingrong had made it clear that they didn’t want any compensation and would not agree to a private settlement. He wants Dong Xuebing to be charged in court!
