The weekend was over in a flash. The Investment Promotion Agency’s staff are all working hard. Lots of investment letters of intent are placed on Dong Xuebing’s desk. An investment letter of intent is not an official contract. It is a proposal before signing the contract. Dong Xuebing called for a meeting and even got the Office Directors from the offsite offices back. He praised them for their work and assigned a new task to them.

Dong Xuebing was exhausted after he finished work and was about to take a nap on his sofa. Although he is hungry, he was too tired to cook.
Ring… ring… ring… Dong Xuebing’s phone rang. It was Xie Huilan.
Dong Xuebing answered listlessly. “Huilan…”
“Hehe, why do you sound so tired?”
“Yes… I had been going to the villages and countryside to follow up with the projects.”
Xie Huilan laughed. “You must be tired. Alright. Come over to my apartment for a while.”
“Huh? Is it urgent?” Dong Xuebing really doesn’t want to move and just want to take a nap.
“Just come over now, Ok?”
“… Alright. Let me take a shower first.”
Dong Xuebing yawned as he dragged himself into the bathroom. After a quick shower and changed into clean clothes, he sneaked into the next building after seeing no one was around.

The door opened, and Xie Huilan stood there in her suit.

Dong Xuebing knew if Mayor Cheng is around earlier, Xie Huilan would have informed him over the phone. That means Cheng Keliang had just arrived for around ten minutes when he was showering. This guy is shameless. How dare he come over to Sister Xie’s house uninvited? What is he trying to do?
“Mayor Cheng, you are also here?” Dong Xuebing faked a smile and greeted Cheng Keliang.
Cheng Keliang nodded and did not say anything. He is unhappy with Dong Xuebing for entering the apartment despite seeing him inside. Dong Xuebing should come back another day and not go straight into the living room. Does he think he is one of Mayor Xie’s men and he can do whatever he wants? This is disrespect.
Dong Xuebing is also unhappy with Cheng Keliang.
Xie Huilan nodded and listened attentively. “Good. You all are doing well.”
This discussion went on for around 15 minutes, and Cheng Keliang was ignored.
Dong Xuebing had always been shy in front of women. Still, he is shameless in this situation and continued talking non-stop.
Cheng Keliang frowned and could not stand it. He received a phone call and told Xie Huilan. “Mayor Huilan, I have to leave to attend to something in my ministry.”
Xie Huilan looked at him and smiled. “Alright. I will walk you out.”
“No need. You still have not taken your dinner, right? I shall not bother you anymore.”
The door closed, and Cheng Keliang left.
Dong Xuebing asked. “Why is he here?”
“He is here to discuss work.”
Dong Xuebing knew Cheng Keliang must have ulterior motives for coming.
