24 Going Outside (1/2)

Now:

Dudley is currently in his room a few days after the exercise thinking about how bad he did and what he could have done differently and better even though the people who are training him have tons of experience on him.

*Knock, knock, knock* he hears and he straightens himself on the bed.

”Are you still sulking about what Marimo said to you” Wyllt asks.

”No” Dudley grumbles and he asks another question

”Why was he so mad about it in the first place. It's not like I can't handle myself in the forest. I mean most animals can't even hear me when I walk past them. I get that in the first few months I was here the crawling dungoem plant almost took my leg off but that was the…” Dudley shivered and he looked at Ashura,

”What were we talking about again?” Ashura nods his head in understanding and he says,

”I was going to tell you why Marimo was pissed at you for not taking your weapon with you. During our time in training, we did a similar exercise to what we are putting you through and he almost lost all his limbs because he refused to take his weapon with him even though teacher warned him several times. After that debacle, teacher also put him in the ringer for a while. He also refused to teach him because teacher believed he had grown arrogant of his skills.”

”Keep in mind that Marimo was the best of our year so he definitely deserved to have some pride in his abilities. Anyways, we have talked about and we believe you are ready to go outside in your own.”

”Really” Dudley asks with excitement.

”Yes, we've assessed your strengths and weakness and we believe it's time for you to go outside ” Wyllt says and Dudley begins to shake with excitement.

”But before that, it's time for you to return. Head to Marimo to find your answers” Wyllt says and he walks out the door leaving Dudley puzzled about what he said.

A few days later pass by quickly and we see four people standing behind a bubble like barrier. One of the four approaches the and pulls out a staff from his had and he starts changing while moving his arms. He points the staff towards the barrier and move down. Like a zipper, the barrier follows the staff and opens up slowly.

”Are you ready?” The man with the sword asks the child standing besides him.

”Yes” The child says calmly as if he is not going to a dangerous zone.

”Good” the man lips curl up slightly as he steps back.
