Chapter 520: Poison!

“Wu Ya, tell me if you are going to honour our ancestors’ agreement or not?” Said Yue Qing Shan firmly.

Duan Wu Ya smiled wryly and said: “Yue Qing Shan, I have a great deal of esteem for you and hold you in admiration. Yue Tian Ming is the second high-official and I admire him too but my sister’s wedding is such an important matter that I cannot speak hastily. That is why I ask you to sit down and let me think, and then let me talk to her. What do you think?”

“No need. Since it’s that way I will just stand here and wait for your answer. I just want to say that I hope you will remember our ancestors’ words.” Said Yue Qing Shan. He wasn’t giving Duan Wu Ya any margin to think, he was just waiting for a direct and immediate answer but it was impossible. Yue Qing Shan, of course, was convinced that Duan Wu Ya wouldn’t refuse because when he was mentioning their ancestors’ agreement, Duan Wu Ya never shook his head or denied it.

Therefore, Yue Qing Shan wasn’t worried. He had just been putting pressure on Duan Wu Ya, but knew it would go his way. Now, he just wanted to see what Duan Wu Ya would say to Duan Xin Ye, and was expecting to hear a positive answer.

Duan Wu Ya smiled and looked at Duan Xin Ye.

“Sister, you understand what Yue Qing Shan said. Tian Ming is his grandson, he is talented and extremely strong, he is the second high-official. What do you think about the marriage alliance?” Asked Duan Wu Ya to Duan Xin Ye. Everybody was speechless. At that moment, Duan Xin Ye was sitting with Lin Feng, asking her was an exaggeration, how could she accept?

Duan Xin Ye’s lips were shaking, she wanted to say something but Duan Wu Ya interrupted her again.

“Lin Feng, since my sister isn’t saying anything, which I can understand, I want to ask you, what do you think about this?”

The guests were stupefied and looked at Lin Feng.

Lin Feng was the crucial element at that moment. After all, he was with her, besides, Yue Qing Shan was his grandfather, Lin Feng was related to all parties.

At that moment, Duan Xin Ye, just like everybody else, was looking at Lin Feng. She wanted to hear what Lin Feng would say to Duan Wu Ya.

Lin Feng remained silent for a few seconds and replied, while glancing at Yue Qing Shan: “Xin Ye is mine.”

Lin Feng’s voice sounded cold. Of course, Lin Feng had to prove that he was determined, he couldn’t afford to be hesitant and irresolute. He had to show that he was ready to do anything to keep her. Since he had accepted her, he had to fight. He couldn’t tolerate the fact that someone else was trying to steal his woman.

He didn’t need to talk too much though, Lin Feng’s opinion was clear enough. Duan Xin Ye was his woman, so that immediately made an alliance between Yue Tian Ming and Duan Xin Ye impossible.

Lin Feng’s tone of speech was firm and everyone felt their hearts race. Lin Feng was so aggressive and brave. In front of the second prince, in front of Yue Qing Shan, he dared say that Duan Xin Ye was his woman. That sentence was filled with courage. It wasn’t that easy to say something like that, especially under such a heavy pressure.

When Duan Xin Ye heard Lin Feng’s simple sentence, she was filled with tenacity, as a happy and resplendent smile appeared. She then moved closer to Lin Feng and grabbed his arm, so that everybody could see.

Lin Feng didn’t care about them, so Duan Xin Ye cared even less about them, besides Lin Feng couldn’t be the one to take all the pressure.

Many people felt envious and jealous when they saw how close Lin Feng and Duan Xin Ye were, especially Yue Tian Chen. His face was particularly glum. Yue Tian Ming was also pulling a long face. Duan Xin Ye knew about the marriage agreement but was still so close to Lin Feng. Besides in front of everyone, she was humiliating Yue Tian Ming.

Yue Qing Shan was staring at Lin Feng, his grandson… He sighed. He wasn’t enjoying this situation, he was trying to steal a woman from his grandson to give it to his other grandson, but it was for the Yue Clan, so he had no choice.

Everybody was silent, including Duan Wu Ya.

Everybody remained silent for a long time until suddenly Duan Wu Ya broke that silence: “Xin Ye, are you alright??”
