C73 (1/2)

I didn't know where she was taking me. I didn't know if she was going to see a person or a ghost, but I knew she didn't like me asking too many questions, so I didn't dare ask.

I kept walking until I came to several forks in the road. I turned left and then right, but I didn't lose my bearings. I kept track of the number of steps I had taken in each passage, and the choices I had made at each intersection, and waited for the opportunity to slip away.

The more I walked the more I felt something was wrong, and I realized that this damned nurse was purposely leading me around in circles.

The Ghost Nurse was still walking at a leisurely pace in front of him. Her half-missing head was still dripping with blood, but she didn't seem to mind at all as she continued walking.

I look at the blood on the floor and spit in my heart. So much blood had been lost along the way, and yet nothing had happened?

I'm still waiting for her to die of blood!

But then again, she wasn't a human. With half her head missing and her brain splattered all over the place like a tofu flower, how could she possibly die from such a small amount of blood?

At this moment, I suddenly felt something under my feet.

When the Ghost Nurse heard this sound, she immediately stopped and froze on the spot.

I looked down and frowned, puzzled. So what did I step on? Why did it look like a dry log? With my foot, I kicked again, and the ”dry wood” immediately rolled forward, then suddenly let out a ”chug” sound, and immediately after, countless little thumb-sized bugs crawled out of the ”dry wood”.

When I saw it, I jumped a step back in fright.

But when I found out it was only a bug, I was immediately relieved, I thought, just a bug, what's there to be afraid of?

But at this moment, that damned nurse suddenly turned her head around. With a face full of panic, she shouted at me, ”Be careful of those bugs!”

I was stunned. I looked down and saw that the bugs were actually coming towards my feet at an astonishing speed. Just as the bugs were about to enter my feet, the Ghost Nurse suddenly pointed a finger at me and raised her finger.

I looked down and saw that the bugs were still under my feet. They were so fierce that they seemed to be jumping up and down in a frenzy. Luckily, I was floating high enough that the bugs couldn't reach the soles of my shoes.

I couldn't help but sweat. How is this a bug? This is simply a wild beast …

The Ghost Nurse pulled her finger and I floated toward her. Then she pulled her finger back and I landed beside her.

But at this moment, the bugs were rushing towards us like a magnificent army of thousands of men and horses.

I looked at her in shock, but the Ghost Nurse's face was cold. No, she only had half of her face, while the rest of her face was cold. She waved her hands and a gust of wind suddenly blew out, sweeping away the bugs a few meters away.

The wind stopped, but the bugs did not attack me anymore. Instead, they fled in all directions and entered the crevices in the wall.

I still had some lingering fear, so I asked, ”What kind of insect is this? It's so ferocious, as if it's trying to eat me.”

”These are corpse worms. They're not trying to eat you, they're trying to eat you. ”

I was stunned for a moment before I looked at the ”dry firewood” on the ground. How was this some kind of dry firewood? All that was left was a white bone, not even a little bit of skin and flesh!

At this time, the ghost nurse said, ”Be careful when you walk, don't step on it. There aren't just corpse worms here.”

When I heard her words, I was immediately startled. Not only were there corpse worms, what did that mean? Don't scare me, I haven't studied much, so I don't understand such profound words …

”Let's go, we're almost there.”

When I heard her voice, I snapped out of it and hurried after her.

Soon, we arrived at another intersection. However, unlike the previous intersection, this one was not a ”T” shaped intersection. It was a crossroad.

”Let's go to the right,” said the Ghost Nurse. ”We'll be there by the end of the passage.”

I ”Oh.” I look ahead and realize that the tunnel ahead is pitch-black. It seems to be a bottomless black hole. I look towards the left again …

With just a glance, I was stunned once again.

Another figure floated by the left passageway, and for a second the same eerie blue eyes met mine.

I immediately felt a chill down my spine...

That's not right, logically speaking, this damned nurse is so awesome, why didn't she notice this person? And I found out...

The Ghost Nurse kept walking, her footsteps even and rhythmic.

When she saw that I wasn't following her, she stopped and turned her head, looking at me with cold eyes.

”Hurry up and follow me.”

I stopped thinking about the figure, and consoled myself with the thought that I might be seeing things, and went on with a ”Mmm.”

At this moment, I saw the damned nurse's face suddenly tremble.

I was stunned, and immediately felt a chill wind against my spine.
