33 The King and Queen (1/2)

Isabel, Jasper and Catherine had a confused look evident on their faces. They had gone on the tour, but not once had Phoebe made mention of any building called IA.

”Yes darlings, IA. You heard me well.”

”Where is that? Is it somewhere far?” Catherine asked.

”Nope, as a matter of fact darlings, you are here” she gestured towards the first big building in the small hideout.

”Why is it named or called IA? Intelligence Agency?” Jasper asked.

”No silly” Livia chipped in.

”It was named after the Queen and King if Gandera, wasn't it?”

”You got that right darling. It was named after your parents” Vita said and reached a hand to hold Isabel's hand.

Their hands intertwined and Vita gave Isabel a motherly smile.

”Whenever you are ready dear, we have their portraits inside by the way” Vita said, hoping Isabel would cheer up.

”Yayyy, we get to see the Queen and King, I am thrilled, Isabel you would see them as well” Catherine eagerly spoke.

”Catherine!” Ariadna called her daughter's name, bringing her to reality.

”Huh what mum!” her mother directed her eyes to Isabel for Catherine to understand.

”Yikes, sorry Isabel. It was wrong of me to be insensitive.”

”It's okay Cathy. Besides, I have seen them before in my dreams.”

”Ohh yeah I completely forgot just now” she said while scratching the back of her head.

”It's going to be all right USA” Jasper assured her.

”Hmm” she averted her gaze quickly and walked forward.

”Let's get going then” Vita gave the order and everyone followed behind her and Isabel.

They walked to the front of the house and entered the compound. The kids kept on admiring the the designs as they entered.

”Oh my... ” Catherine clasped a hand over her mouth as she stared at a large portrait. It stood tall in the living room, it was a six feet tall portrait.

The others walked up to her when they heard her gasp. ”Yes, the picture of King Alexander and Queen Isabella. Magnificent don't you think?”
