189 Be selfish for once (1/2)

For the first time in his life, Neto felt like a third wheel. Seeing the way Dwayne looked at Sky with a serious look on his face.

”Maybe she has refused to accept him because of Dwayne. Maybe she has fallen in love with him.” They say a woman is very emotional during her pregnancy and Dwayne was with her through out her pregnancy. Neto sighed as he thought within himself.

”Me too Sky.” Anton said as he moved closer to the bed.

She took his hand in hers and squeezed it. ”It'll only be a few minutes” She watched him struggle with himself, before he stood up, placed a kiss on her forehead and walked out of the room.

Neto looked at Dwayne in the eyes before he left. There's no way he is giving up, they are both going to have to fight for her heart fairly.

”I know you think you owe me Ms Sky. You don't, I won't be heartbroken if you get married. I admit, at first I was reluctant to let go, I fell in love with the idea of love not you. I mistook the messenger for the message. How can I not? When the messenger is soo damn beautiful.” Dwayne smiled and continued.

”Thanks for making me a better man Ms Sky. Thanks to you, I now see women for what they truly are not just a sex machine. And you were right, I think I'm in love with Soma.” Dwayne leaned down as he finished talking and placed a soft kiss on her bandaged head.

”Sky, when I met you. I thought you were after Mr Jay because of his money, but when you continued to stay around and not demand a thing from him, I thought it was because you wanted to pay him back, that you felt obligated to do all the things you did. But when you gave up everything to take care of his company and you took it like your own, I then realized the kind of person you are. You put the needs of others before yours.” Anton smiled as he sat on the bed with her and took her hand in his before he continued.

”I know you feel like you have to do what Mr Jayden said but for the first time in your life Sky, I'm asking you to be selfish. Most times we wish for things that are not ours, things that can be harmful to us if we are allowed to have them. Mr Jay loved you Soo much that he didn't want to let you go, his plan was to bind you by marriage to his son. But he was wrong. You'll always be his daughter and he made sure of that. He added your name to his family register and made you a legal guardian to Dwayne incade you both don't get married. Offcourse it's in one condition. and that is that you never leave the company.”

”So boss lady, you are free to get married, I can assure you that your debt is fully paid and Mr Jay won't be rolling in his grave. I give you my permission Ms Acadia Mena Nathaniel. You are free.”

Sky laughed and cried at the same time with Anton's last words. ”Come here you two” She said as she opened her arms wide to hug her favorite boys. ”Thank you for saying those words to me”. Sky said as she hugged them both.
