182 The Greysons (1/2)

After listening to Mrs Brianna's explanation, Mr Greyson sighed and shook his head. ”I think I know what is going on dear. I know just what to do. Thank you for coming to me. I'll handle it.”

Brianna spent thirty minutes in Mr Greyson's office. He kept moving from one topic to the other, he was so nice, easy to talk too and it didn't feel as if she was talking to a billionaire. Everything about him on the internet was a lie, except maybe the womanising part. She didn't feel intimidated in his presence, he made her comfortable.

After she left his company, she went straight home to her family. She had promised Tega that she would take him to the hospital tomorrow plus she missed her baby, Beverly. Her grandmother had moved into her house since the accident, helping her out with the baby.

Soma stood outside the hospital, with a red rose in one hand and a gift basket in the other. looking at the building, she sighed. She was scared of going in, she didn't know if she should go in. Dwayne was acting strange and she was scared of going into Ms Sky's room unannounced. Thinking back to what the woman did for her family in this same hospital, she bravely took a step forward, and another and walked into the building.

Dwayne and Anton were fighting over Sky's daughter. Dwayne placed a soft kiss on the baby's cheek and smiled brightly. He had refused to give the baby to Anton. Sweetpea II was sleeping calmly on the baby's bed. While Mrs Onome and Kira arranged the baby's clothes.

”Jenna wants to start a new bet mom” Anton said to Mrs Brianna as he eyed Dwayne. ”She already has two names for the babies, are you both game?”

Mrs Onome shook her head as she watched the two ramble on about rubbish. Jenna was the bet queen. Jenna had told her about the baby's name and she declined. She smiled as the boys called different names, she really loved the boys. She showed Dwayne his mother's food bag, the one she brought with her yesterday with different meals.

”Please say a very big thank you to your mom for me. Tell her we enjoyed the meal.”Mrs Onome stood up and walked close to the door, to pick the basket up. She was checking the content of the basket when she heard a soft knock on the door.

”That is strange Anton. We are all here, Brianna and Jenna aren't coming back here and the nurse just left. Who could it be? But before she could reach for the door knob, Neto pulled the door open forcefully as he barked some orders into his phone.

Mrs Onome was astonished. She wondered what was wrong with the poor boy. She was lost in thought, thinking of the way Neto stormed out of the room when she heard a gentle voice say ”Good evening ma'am.” Gathering her thoughts, she quickly smiled at the pretty young lady at the door.

”Hello dear, how are you, and how can I help you?” Mrs Onome asked.

”I'm Somadina. I'm a friend of Mr Dwayne Teffa, Ms Sky's fiancee. I'm sorry I came unannounced but I really want to know how she is doing. Ms Sky saved my father's life, I owe her ma'am, please allow me see her, so I can say a few prayers for her.” Soma rushed the words, afraid that if she paused, she might loose courage and run out of the hospital. It felt awkward calling Dwayne another woman's man.

Dwayne didn't need to listen twice to know who was at the door. The hair at the back of his neck stood up as he heard her voice. He quickly handed the baby to Anton and excused himself. He didn't know why he felt hostile towards her. Somehow it didn't feel right that he should be happy with another woman while Ms Sky laid there lifeless. Truth be told, he had missed her. He's been avoiding her calls cause he didn't want to hear her voice.

He slowly calmed down as he walked to the door. He was about to drag her out of the room when Mrs Onome said to him in her authoritative voice. ”Dwayne, your friend is here. Can you be so kind to take her to my daughter's room.”
