”What is happening? Why is so much energy flowing towards the universe?”

On Alrein's universe, someone spoke, but almost everyone was surprised and started to speak, so it was difficult to say who said what.

After all, the situation was far from normal.

They decided to give all the energy to Yale, but when they were already thinking how much time would be needed to reach the same point, a stream of energy even stronger than the one they sent was filling the universe.

Alrein didn't know how Yale repaid such a huge quantity of energy so soon after borrowing it, but he was sure that Yale was the one who did it.

What Alrein didn't understand was the reason for Yale having so much energy after having been in need to borrow it just before, but he didn't really care for the reason.

Lina felt a little guilty when Yale needed to borrow the energy despite the fact that she didn't doubt on helping him, but she was prideful after Yale returned it with interests no long after that.

”Don't worry mother, I doubt that someone thought that father would borrow that energy without paying it back.”

Ange had full faith in Yale, so she never thought that Yale would steal that energy and never return it.

Some people lowered their heads in shame because although they agreed to gift that energy to Yale due to the personal debt that they had with him, they never expected that he would return it.

”Stop the chattering and go to meditate. The universe ascension started. While this happens, we must use the chance to increase our power. After this, without creating a Path, it will be difficult to advance, so we can't waste this chance.”

It was a sure thing that Alrein would directly become a ninth level immortal once the universe finished the upgrade and ascended, but the rest wouldn't be benefited from it unless they meditated trying to grasp the chance.

Of course, even if the universe was upgraded, reaching immortality wouldn't be as easy as on the universe Yale was because the methods to reach immortality were different, so the impact wouldn't be incredibly huge unless a new Path that didn't need Laws, Essences, nor any related to it was created, but that would also be against the rules set by Alrein in the universe, so it would never be as easy as on the other universe where it was easy to reach immortality even without training.

”You should be thinking about why it is that important reaching higher levels quickly, and the same happened the previous time. No one took it too seriously and decided to train slowly afterward, so I was the only one who became a sixth level immortal.”

Alrein stopped for a moment before continuing.

”That was what led us to that big war. We upgraded the universe, but our overall power was too weak compared to others, which turned us into the target of another universe. Of course, the energy of that upgrade was also weaker than now, so I doubt it worked properly with too many people, but this time we can't make the same mistake.”

The other time only Astel tried to use the chance to upgrade, but he merely reached fifth level immortal, so it was really impossible to make a huge overall improvement.

However, on that occasion, Yale had returned the energy with a lot of interest, which was more than enough for the ascension, which would also allow more people to benefit from it.
