“Youxuan, you called me mom when you were talking with Aunt Yao just now, right?” Ruan Danchen stared at the little boy’s face. She felt like her heart was beating in her throat.

Qi Youxuan’s cheeks flamed. She had seen Qi Youxuan blush before, but never so red.

He lowered his head bashfully and felt too shy to reply. He kept quiet for quite some time.

Ruan Danchen was waiting for his response anxiously beside him. After a while, she saw the little boy raise his head and tug at her down jacket bashfully with his gloved hands. Then he said quietly, “Just now you told the aunt that I’m your son, right?”

Qi Youxuan lifted his arms to his chest and lowered his head. He tugged at his gloves repeatedly. “Actually, I’ve always wanted you to be my mom. I don’t want to call you Aunt Ruan anymore. It is also very troublesome to call you that because I have to say two words.”

Qi Youxuan blushed. He was pinching the edge of his shirt nervously. He lowered his head and said, “If you like, I’ll always call you mom.”

Ruan Danchen did not want to burst into tears in front of a child, but she could not stop them. She leaned forward and hugged Qi Youxuan tightly. “Please just call me mom in the future, okay? I like it when you call me mom, I have been waiting for it for too long.”

Slowly, Ruan Danchen felt his little arms hug her back. “I really hope I can find a person whom I can call her mom too, but I don’t simply call anyone mom. I only feel like calling you mom.”

His round face turned redder like an apple because the classroom was quite warm compared to the temperature outside. There were heaters installed in his classroom.

“Mom? Since when do you have a mom?” asked Shen Manman curiously.

Everyone in Jixia Elemental School knew that Qi Youxuan was Qi Chenglin’s son and they also knew that he was raised by only his father since he was born.

“Could it be that your mother is the aunt who was standing at the entrance at that time? Is she marrying your dad?” asked Shen Manman.

“Why are you asking so many questions? This is my family matter. How could you pry into others’ matters? Let me tell you, it’s useless even if you try to win her favor. I’m not going to marry you, so you should give up now!” said the little boy smugly and he tilted his head with his chin lifted highly. Then, he snorted.

Shen Manman was furious and embarrassed. She felt that Qi Youxuan was so annoying. How could he talk like that in the classroom in the presence of all their classmates? Besides, he talked so loudly, now everyone knew about her feelings for him!

Even if she truly liked him, he should not talk like that!
