Su Li followed Liu Chongming into the inner room. On the table, there were a few things that he had found at the scene of the crime.

She walked over and saw three pieces of paper. The paper was quite large and the name only occupied the center of the paper. Other than that, there was nothing else left on the paper.

The murderer just wanted to leave a dead person's name, so why use such a large piece of paper?

Su Li's gaze swept across them. It looked like a piece of paper with the word Liu Chongming written on it.

She took it in her hand and carefully compared it to the other two.

Not only were the handwriting different, even the paper was different.

”Fifth Prince's Wife, according to Crown Prince's deductions, there's more than one culprit behind this strange scene. He has more than one accomplice.” Liu Chongming saw that Su Li was leaving behind the death talisman, so he told her the result of his speculation.

Su Li slightly nodded his head.

However, these three pieces of paper always gave her a strange feeling.

Looking left and right, there was nothing abnormal about it, ”Lord Minister, I would like to bring these three pieces of paper back for a closer look, is that possible?”

”Of course.” Liu Chongming knew very well that his life was tied to Su Li. Even if she wanted the moon in the sky, he had to think of a way to take it away from her.

Su Li folded three pieces of paper and put them into his sleeves.

Then he looked at the other evidence, some from the dead and some from the surroundings.

The only thing she noticed was the white silk which had strangled Meng Shaoqing to death.

At first, it didn't look like much, but as they got closer, a faint smell of rotting flesh entered his nostrils.

Su Li was afraid that he had smelled wrongly, so he brought the white silk closer to Liu Chongming, ”Can you smell anything?”

Liu Chongming sniffed and said with a bitter face, ”There's no smell at all.”

Su Li sniffed again, and it was still that slight rotten stench. Her nose was always very sensitive to smell, although Liu Chongming could not smell it, she was sure that her smell was not wrong.

”How long after Meng Shaoqing died?”

Liu Chongming thought for a while and said, ”When I took it down, Meng Shaoqing's body was still warm.”

Su Li was silent. Like this, the rotten stench on the white silk could not have come from Meng Shaoqing's body. In other words, the killer had a rotten stench on him?

”What did the Prince's Wife find out?” Liu Chongming's eyes lit up.

Su Li came back to reality and shook his head, ”Let's go, let's go to the Minister Sun to take a look at the scene of death.”

”Alright.”

Minister Sun died in his study.

When the group of people arrived, Shang Shu Manor's Young Master, Sun Cheng, and Madam Sun were standing outside the mansion to welcome them.

Both of them were wearing mourning robes. Although the Minister Sun had not returned, and was still preparing for the funeral, Shang Shu Manor had already changed into a plain white color.

”Greetings Fifth Prince's Wife.” The two of them bowed and opened up a path.

Sun Cheng said, ”Ever since Father's accident, the study has been guarded and no one else was allowed to step foot inside, waiting for the Fifth Prince's Wife to return to the capital to investigate the case.”

Su Li looked at Sun Cheng. Such a huge thing had happened to Shang Shu Manor, it is all on his shoulders now.

His cheekbones were jutting out, and he seemed to have lost a lot of weight in just a few days.

”Tell me about that day.” Su Li said as he walked in.

That day, many people came from the Imperial Guard, surrounding the outside of the study so that not even a drop of water could leak out. At noon, mother went inside to deliver food, and before entering, the imperial physician personally examined whether there was any poisonous substance, but who knew, when I went in again to collect the bowls, my father was already lying on his desk, breathing heavily. On the desk was a white piece of paper with the name of Minister Liu written on it. Sun Cheng replied.

”How long have you and your mother been in the study?”
