Chapter 555: Ancestors (1/2)

—Creeping Depths!—

The darkness wrapped itself around Wang Ling's body and the water broke through imaginable barriers in the air and crashed unto an unmoving piece. Once again, the twins fell and as they looked over, the asshole wasn't even flustered, ”…how?”

Around Wang Ling was an invisible glow. On his nape was the white circle that surrounds the wings glowing inconspicuously. It was a subtle change, and Wang Ling could already feel his senses being shot up to eleven.

With his thoughts alone, he spread the essence of his purified qi chaos and allowed it to settle on the decimated earth. From weeds to flowers and eventually, the grounds were restored, by a simple thought and gesture, [I don't need a drop of blood anymore.]

He moved his left hand, a gust of wind was called, he moved his right hand, and the skies rumbled with the rolling of thunder and lightning.

[Those I have not been attacked with is weaker. The Lightning is far easier to control than wind, but the weirdest thing is that I do not even have to locate any source or gather qi, everything is brought to me in a golden platter. With a thought anything I will appears, other than the killing intent and the two flames I myself honed, the rest feels close yet disconnected… now that I had the time to feel out this power, I can't even tell how I will use it to its fullest. Without even the slightest bit of knowledge, I am left blinded.]

Wang Ling was left frustrated with his lack of knowledge and the current events. The situation—though it didn't look it—were turning for the worst. Still, Wang Ling, smiled, [This is the kind of challenge I haven't faced in a long time.]

A sense of death pervaded the air. He could see that he was losing his grasp of things, yet, he hasn't given up. The more he unravels, the more he learns, the more anxiety and pressure he experiences, Wang Ling could feel his growth accelerating. Wang Ling looked up into the skies and beyond, he peered into the cosmos, his eyes glowing blue.

”Ling, I feel something approach us…” Angel stated as she felt something entered the wall of Holy Qi, she set up around the perimeter of the Deity Paradise, ”A total of 368 creatures… they are oozing with the Holy and Hellish Qi. But we cannot feel the connection, they must be Revenants again.”

”How about Abyssal Demons?” Wang Ling asked, he couldn't feel anything. He was too focused on dealing with the issues of his possible demise.

”I do not know, this time around I do not feel any fluctuations of any Abyssal Crystals tainting my existence. I think only Revenants are present… wait… in the midst of the Revenants, I can sense, something—I can't tell, they might be the Abyssal Demon.”

”Oh, what are the odds?” Azazil was intrigued about something, keeping to himself in one corner, holding a black sword formed from materialized hellish qi.

Wang Ling just so happened to hear his mumbling, ”What is it?”

”…not entirely sure…” Azazil was still hesitant interacting with Wang Ling. He tried to kill him in the mindscape, after mistaking him for the father who disappeared on them, [Get it together, you are one of the strongest existence in the Cosmos! You already talked to him earlier, right?]

On one side, Azazil was hyping himself up, while Angel sat on Wang Ling's shoulder, whispering, 'Give him a moment, he's very shy when it is outside giving lectures and instructions.' She smugly watched her counterpart, but remembering how she cried to Wang Ling at some point, she just reeled in all the teasing she wanted to bestow upon Azazil.

”I can sense the weak presence of Devils… two at the Emperor Level and another at the level of a Devil King… but more importantly, I sense… something else… it might be the Furnace of Chaos.” the quiet Azazil explained.

The air turned stale… Wang Ling looked at Azazil in disbelief.

”Wang Ling, do you want to try another—”

BOOM!

Leaving the twins behind and a giant crater on the ground. The twins watched as Wang Ling once again opened a Giant Portal leading outside of the Deity Paradise.

Yuan Ming and Yuan Qing all looked up, up to watch him leave. The two looked at each other, contemplating, ”Should we follow him? The Mother asked us to watch over him.” Yuan Qing asked.

”But if we go, we will most likely only be there as a hindrance to him… I vote we go to Qinyang's side. She hasn't had her hair brushed all this time, it will be a bother if we go and groom her when she wakes up.” Yuan Ming countered.

”I agree.” It was not Yuan Qing who agreed, two voices, passive and without emotions.
