Chapter 442 - Coming of the Wang Lings (1/2)
Yuan Qing and Yuan Ming walked away from the one they had just killed. Their hands dyed with blood was cleansed by water and as they turned their backs on the Impostor's corpse, a massive amount of qi exploded.
Holy Qi filled the room, ”This is the first time this happened to me since my descent from the beyond. How fun, you two, who are you?” the one they had supposedly slain lived.
Yuan Qing and Yuan Ming stared at the bloodied person of the Impostor. With caved in the face and broken limbs that slowly healed with the appearance of four Golden Rings behind his head, the twins turned their heads on opposite sides.
”How curious, he managed to survive our assault despite being struck. For an impostor, for him to conjure so much Holy Qi is impressive, what do you think Yuan Qing?” Yuan Ming commented as she internally took notes.
”That Qi density is obviously unavailable to a four Ringed Holy Race. Its purity is also absurd, but it is still obsolete to him. I think the matter is like this because of his Origin, to be birthed from Chaos… though he is an impostor, he still holds the properties of the Original, i.e., the purity of the Holy Qi. Alas, the fact of the matter remained that he cannot use Hellish Qi.” Yuan Qing explained her part.
The Impostor watched as they rambled on, confused at first, asking them once more, ”Just who the hell are you two!? Answer me!”
”But, didn't 'he' also lack Hellish Qi?” Yuan Qing asked.
”I suppose so, but at least he is not limited to one form of qi. He has the Phoenix Qi and for him to have it with the Holy Qi is enough right now.” Yuan Ming answered.
”Ooooh, I see, that makes sense. Then last question, what do we do with this Impostor?”
”Kill him, like everyone else.”
The Impostor looked at the twins, his sword was brought out and then with the assist of the four rings he burst forth with amazing speed. He swung the blade and met with the twins' palms.
The twins, however, raised their brows and quickly retreated their hands. Quickly, the both of them stomped at the Impostor's feet, flattening the Impostor's feet.
”AHHHHH!” The Impostor screamed in pain.
The twins raised their brows hearing how he screamed. This simple act of showing such weakness was enough to clear any further doubt about the others' identity. ”Too weak mentally and otherwise. How laughable for you to exist.” Yuan Qing and Yuan Ming's hands moved and stopped by the Impostor's face.
”Who… are you, two?”
”Death.” the twins answered and then, from their hands the water qi broke free and destroyed the Impostor's body to smithereens. Countless viscera flew away as a hole was punched open in the Impostor's c.h.e.s.t.
On his knees, the Impostor's mask fell on the ground. He raised his head showing the uncanny resemblance to the Great Ancestor other than that striking purple eyes, ”Whoever you are… I will kill both of you sooner or later.”
”…you may have not notice, but you have a gaping hole on your c.h.e.s.t. I do not think something like this survivable.” Yuan Qing said.
”Unless your cultivation is at the Eighth Rank or your Rings about 7, you will die all the same.” Yuan Ming explained.
The Impostor just snorted at their words, ”Though it won't be me who will kill you, I will still be able to end your life in many ways… sooner or later, I will come for you two. That bust of Holy Qi attracted a lot of the others… they will come for yo—”
The Impostor stopped as he saw the twins crouching on the ground staring at him like some weird specimen.
”Its eyes are different from the others we killed. This one also knows that it is not alone like the others. I have made the conclusion that its eyes have a connection with this new finding. The only change in before and our past kills is that this one didn't die the moment we struck it down because of our sealed qi. This led me to believe that because it is still a being closely related to the Realm of the Abyss that it managed to understand its situation.” Yuan Qing made the deduction.
”I agree with your findings. I would also like to expound on this being's words. It said that there would be multiple others who would arrive, it did not mention anything about only being restricted to this Tomb, this would lead us to the fact that there are others from different regions coming here… that could also mean that they are s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to Holy Qi, and for some reason, they are hunting for it, hmmm, this is intriguing, dying Impostor, tell me why are you searching for the source of the Holy Qi?” Yuan Ming inquired.
