Clouds gathered and the rolling of lightning and thunder echoed in the heart and ears of many cultivators. Wang Ling a few meters away from Yan Renhuo with a smile on his face.

Boom! A lightning strike shattered the mountain he and Yan Renhuo was in. As the lightning fell on Yan Renhuo, Wang Ling had her Flames of Tribulation devour them. The Flames of Tribulation let out a roar and an azure lynx wrapped with lightning appeared Yan Remhuo's body.
The lynx roared at the lightning and Yan Renhuo dove into the lightning tribulation to devour it without missing a drop. Wang Ling, Yan Renhuo, and Bai Xue just may be the only beings who are fearless against Lightning Tribulations.
Wang Ling watched and never tried dodging the lightning. He was unafraid of the Lightning tribulation about to hit him. He had already faced such tribulations before so his body can withstand the pressure it will give.
At this moment, Wang Ling's body had also improved by leaps and bounds making him an almost invincible being in the First Layer of the Black Dragon's Final Battlefield. Even without his bloodlines, Wang Ling can still contest against people who are at the fifth meridian albeit he cannot fight more than three at once.
But depending on the situation, Wang Ling can become someone who can rival anyone in this place.
Three hours passed and the lightning tribulation disappeared with Yan Renhuo seemingly ascending to the Second Layer, ”She mentioned she will get stronger in the Second layer so and wait for me, I can't have her wait for too long.”
Wang Ling resolved himself and flew out north. At the north, there were numerous uncharted locations he can try his luck on.
”Didn't you hid anything in the Lower Heaven?”
”I didn't, it's all in the Celestial Spirit Realm. There is a reason why my tomb and the two True Noble Legacies are there. Only the Flames of Chaos can be sought after and nothing else. But you can't do that, can you? You gave my inheritance to someone else, right?”
”Let it go, she's a capable fighter. She'll prove worthy to possess your inheritance so do not worry about it. She already has two of the five flames right? And with that tribulation, she'll be able to bring her flames to Ascendency level or even higher.”
Wang Ling said with assurance. His trust towards Yan Renhuo's skill is strong enough to make him feel assured that giving her the inheritance for the True Chaos Flames is the right thing and not some mistake. Her affinity to flames is strong enough that she did not need anyone to point a path to her and search the other Flames of Chaos, this point alone was important.
Wang Ling stopped the conversation and then quietly head over to the north. The north is a large stretch of water with many islands scattered all over creating an archipelago. But it wasn't just the islands and Immortal Beast to be found in there but at what they call the Black Dragon's Trench lies the Dragon's Temple.
The Dragon's Temple had existed for eons and no one truly knows how long it had existed. But the Dragon's Temple is an area that Oceanic Beasts avoids so it was known as a safe zone in the north.
Another thing, the Dragon's Temple is also known for the location where one can transport to the Black Dragon's Palace and challenge the Black Dragon's Trial.
Wang Ling's intention on why he is heading is this Trial exactly, ”Every Trial has its price, whether it be knowledge or something that can instantaneously help me raise my cultivation no matter what it is, this thing better helps me out, but if it can't then I'll have to resort to killing and devouring souls. But before that, I should probably make a detour.”
