Chapter 170 The Astonishing Change (2/2)

Zhang Yunyan was reluctant to come into the cave by accident. It was strange that she entered it by coincidence without any intention and action.

Yet, she already cared nothing about “the impossible miracle”. Feeling tense and panicky, she didn’t know what to do.

In fear, she looked around and didn’t find the devils or Black Tiger.

As Yunyan looked up at the extremely high cave, she wanted to climb up but it was another daydream. Last time, she sought many times but found nowhere to climb. And the cave wall was so steep that it was out of the question to make it. She would be struck in here without the ability to escape.

The frightening cave was in such dead silence that even a pin drop could be heard. And it was difficult to see clear in the dark night.

Zhang Yunyan was so pathetic and unlucky. She met weird things one after another as well as horrible dangers.

She wanted to release her confused emotions and prepared to embark on the road of revenge. On the contrary, she didn’t make herself calm down. Furthermore, she was astonished repeatedly. After that, she was more upset and became anxious.

Maybe, it was destined to be a weird and unpredictable night. And she shouldn’t have gone out on such an eventful night.

Zhang Yunyan had gone to the foot of the mountain and come across the mysterious sika deer by chance who attracted her to go to the middle of the mountain.

And then the sika deer had just disappeared mysteriously. She also had met the unidentified old woman and heard the absurd nonsense.

Afterwards, Jiuyou Sage and the devils had come abruptly, and it was a great relief to her that they didn’t find her.

She could have gone down the mountain safely. Unexpectedly, Black Tiger had rushed into the cave, so her hope of returning home was shattered again. And she felt anxious and frightened, hesitating whether to proceed or go back.

Zhang Yunyan already knew something of Jiuyou Sage and the devils. Thus, she didn’t want to enter the cave and dared not to do it either. She knew well that she would walk right into the trap and never come out alive.

However, to her surprise, things suddenly changed, and it was beyond imagination. She stood unsteadily and fell into the cave, not knowing whether she was in a trance and could not control herself or was pushed down by someone.

At the moment, why was she in a trance? Did someone really push her down?

At that time, Zhang Yunyan was observing attentively and listening carefully and vigilantly. How came she just lost her consciousness? She didn’t notice someone around her, but why did she feel being pushed down by someone?

She maintained that she must have been pushed by someone before the faint. Otherwise, she would not stand unsteadily and fell off.

Yunyan couldn’t be sure that if it was the sudden wind or the invisible power that made her unable to control herself and fall off.

She couldn’t agree with the idea of the wind, because there was no wind at that time. And even those small leaves didn’t make a sound. To say the least, even if there was the wind, it couldn’t blow so wild that she could not stand firmly.

But for the invisible power, she could not be certain either. After all, there was no conclusive evidence but only her guess.

No matter what, Yunyan could not believe that she fell off for nothing at all. Maybe she was blindsided by someone. She believed the reason why she lost consciousness in an instant was that she must have been cast spells by someone, so she was unable to control herself and fell off.

No matter how she fell off, and whether she was blindsided, it was all gone. She was caught in the Devil’s Cave and couldn’t escape. This was the fact, and she could only confront it, facing Jiuyou Sage and Four King Ghosts and the imminent death.

When Zhang Yunyan looked up at the “moon” up above, she thought of Black Tiger, and could not help searching for Black Tiger in darkness.

She was nervous but also relieved. It seemed that Black Tiger didn’t fall to death. Otherwise, she would see it. Besides, it was not here, which meant that Black Tiger still could move and it must have gone to track the devils.

It was another miracle that Black Tiger didn’t die and even suffer serious injuries, which was also unimaginable.

As Zhang Yunyan watched the round hole on the opposite cave wall, she got alert suddenly. Her good friend had already entered deep into the Devil’s Cave, and it must have been killed by the devils.

She felt nervous and frightened. She continued to think and watch. Black Tiger had already run deep into the cave. She had no way to call it back and she couldn’t rescue it either. The only thing she could do was to feel sorry for the misfortune of her good friend.

Yunyan couldn’t just wait and die here. So, she hoped to find some place to climb up and escape from the Devil’s Cave as soon as possible. Yet it was wishful thinking as before.

The cave was unimaginably high, and the cave wall was as steep as the vertical well. Although it was not flat, there was nowhere to climb up. Without any doubt, it was impossible to get to the extremely high “moon”, which only could be a fantasy.

For the last falling, Yunyan had already been aware that she could not climb up. So, she only could feel despondent for her good fantasy.

Zhang Yunyan watched the “moon” high in the sky, frowning dejectedly. It was unattainable, and she could only look and sigh.

She was full of pain and despair. Black Tiger might have been killed by the devils, and she also could not survive. She didn’t expect that she and Black Tiger would die in the cave together. Moreover, they died miserably, which was so tragic.

In this hopeless situation, she couldn’t help but remember the last frightening experience in the Devil’s Cave. If it were not for Turtle Elf that sacrificed itself to save her, she would have already been killed by the devils.

But it never occurred to her that she came into the Devil’s Cave once again. She was totally digging her own grave!
