With a single sentence, he had poured out the amount of money Miao Siqing had left in his private room. Miao Siqing was stunned. Did Grandma know that he had secretly taken some out from the clinic's medical fees?
Doctor Miao looked at the long hair on Miao Siqing's chest and sighed as he opened the acupuncture box. Before Miao Siqing could even scream out, he had already injected the needle into the box.
Miao Siqing's body tensed up like a wooden stick. In the next moment, his eyelids slowly closed as she looked pleadingly at Doctor Miao. In the end, she was unable to resist his drowsiness.
”Go to sleep, go to sleep. Siqing, sleep well. You won't feel tired or in pain anymore.”
Doctor Miao was going out to shop. Every day, she would go out through the back door at midnight to buy some necessities from the supermarkets that were closed for the night.
Pushing open the back door, Doctor Miao waited for a moment to listen for any signs of movement before stepping out. With this step, she saw a figure standing outside. It was too late for her to retract her gaze.
”Senior Miao,” Xiao Yuelin respectfully said: ”My father asked me to come visit you.”
”I don't know Xiao Zhenhai.” Dr Miao's teeth chattered and he was about to turn around and head back.
Xiao Yuelin had already walked to the side of Doctor Miao and sincerely said, ”Senior Miao, do we have to bring the past grudges into the coffin? My father asked me to come here to tell you that his body can help you. ”
What she needed right now was a research subject. Miao Shiqing was her grandson after all, and Doctor Miao couldn't do anything about it, but it was different with Xiao Zhenhai. She didn't like him, and in all honesty, if it wasn't for Xiao Zhenhai, her grandson wouldn't have done this.
Xiao Yuelin knew that Doctor Miao was wavering. He stopped his footsteps and made a gesture of invitation, ”I drove here myself. My father is not fit to go out. He told me to invite you.”
Xiao Yuelin was indeed a politician who knew how to attack the heart. She hesitated for a moment before taking a step forward and followed Xiao Yuelin to the Xiao family's villa. She also wanted to see the nearly century-old Xiao Zhenhai.
Inside the room, Miao Siqing's red eyes were wide open as he let out a low roar. His body gradually changed as his clothes were torn. In the next second, long, black fur appeared. Surprised, Miao Siqing watched as his body underwent a transformation.
Is, is this him? The sight before her turned dark and she fainted.
Far off on the coast, the doctor was examining the fetus in the womb of Silent Dye. His eyes were fixed on the ultrasound screen, and his body suddenly jumped out of the chair, knocking over a glass of water on the table with an excessively violent movement.
As he watched the changes in her heart rate, he noticed that her heartbeat was increasing. Suddenly, a strange noise made him raise his eyebrows, and he asked in a low voice, ”What's going on?”
”This, this?” The doctor pointed at the child on the screen. The next moment, his eyes widened as he said in astonishment, ”How can this be?”
Er Duoteng walked over and swept his gaze over the normal baby effect on the screen. He then sharply glanced at the doctor and asked, ”Is there something wrong?”
”Me?” The doctor did not know what to say. What he had just seen was not what he had seen. It was a very strange image.
As he lay on the bed beside her, his heart sank as he hurriedly asked, ”What's wrong, my child?”
”It's nothing. He's probably been too nervous these past few days.” Er Duoteng gave the doctor a warning look. The gaze caused the doctor's heart to tremble. He hastily opened his mouth and said, ”Yes, I'm too nervous. I'm fine.”
Shivering, he shifted his gaze back to the screen. The sweat on the doctor's forehead flowed down, but he didn't dare wipe it off. Instead, he hurriedly adjusted the chair on the floor and continued to inspect the child in his stomach.
”What's going on?” She knew her situation better than anyone else.
