At Plumeria Island
The atmosphere in the wedding hall was at a high and the wedding vows were very beautifully spoken and taken by the bride and the groom.
Everyone enjoyed the wedding celebration held at the indoor private restaurant of the island near the beach and Ryu's mansion. The Ken's food catering on the island served a five course lunch with a wide variety of dishes to the guests and the newlyweds.
Rui was again given the responsibility to host the program during lunch, but this time he was not alone.
”See the result of teasing a single man at parties such as weddings? I had to get a partner with me…” Rui mumbled as an opening remark, hanging his words in the last to give an ambiguous feeling.
Everyone looked at Cali, whom he had brought with him to attend the wedding. She blushed and waved her hands in denial, as a signal that Rui was not talking about her.
Rui laughed, seeing all eyes at Cali and added, ”I am talking about a partner at hosting! Why are you guys looking at my lovely fiance! I'm talking about Xander, who is going to join me here to host the party while we all enjoy our lunch!”
Laughter resounded in the venue hall and Xander joined Rui at the center to entertain their few selected guests in the celebration.
”When do you plan to tell him?” Rizie asked Yera while they ate some desserts at one table.
Yera smiled and answered, ”After the party, I will ask him to accompany me to the hospital because of an upset stomach.”
”The heck your brain sis, you wanna make him worry like hell before blasting off the explosive news to him. You're trying to kill bro?” Rizie mumbled in a joke.
Yera laughed and nodded, followed by a wink. She wanted Xander to accompany her in her first ultrasound for viewing and confirming their baby's placenta and amniotic sac. It would be epic to see his expressions while the doctor performed a transv.a.g.i.n.a.l ultrasound on her.
The party ended on a merry note, and everyone enjoyed the party thoroughly. Yera met the persons who were closely helping out her husband for the first time. Lana, the lawyer who was assisting her husband draft the entire case and Chad from the Quan Clan who was handling Xander's safety while he was at country V.
”Thank you so much for helping my husband. Please feel free to tour around the island and enjoy your stay. Bro Ryu has made the arrangements for you guys and you can contact Regan in case you need any assistance.” Yera expressed her gratitude, hoping the two could enjoy their short stay on the island with her brother Ryu's permission.
”Alright guys just enjoy and make yourself feel at home. The Kens are one of my wife's family so don't you two dare make any mess in here…” Xander added teasing that made Lana crumple her face.
”Like we can mess around on such a big island knowing no one except you.” Lana grunted with pouty lips.
”We will go separate ways. Lana can't wait to dip herself in the beach while I would love to stroll around the place. It gives me a familiar feeling staying on an island as well for years.”
”Oh yeah right, you used to babysit Mara there in Keira's private island, the n.a.k.e.d goddess!” Xander burst. Lana laughed, seeing how Chad reddened.
”Anyway, I will leave now with my wife since we will have to leave soon. Enjoy, and I'll just call later now.” Xander muttered while pulling his wife's hand. They also left first from the function hall and congratulated their parents once more.
”Aplaining for stomach pain.
His heartbeat started palpitating fast when he looked at his wife who winked at him and a playful meaningful grin.
”Darling… Am I right or am I thinking really right now?” he whispered while he held Yera who was already sitting on the bed.
Yera chuckled and replied, ”Hmm, we will see. What are you thinking, darling? Maybe our doctor here can confirm it to us.”
The doctor smiled and shook her head. She was aware of Yera's coming and her intention to surprise her husband about her pregnancy.
