Chapter 194 - Entering Dragon Spirit Squad (2/2)
The external world’s understanding of the Dragon Spirit Squad was very little. Even where they stayed was a mystery. The number of people in the team was also a mystery. The entire team was shrouded in mystery. No one even dared to report on them.
This was a restricted zone. Even some army generals did not have the access to this zone.
After about an-hour-long flight, Wang Feng and the rest finally landed in the forest. By a conservative estimate, this forest was about a few hundred kilometers wide. It was not a place where birds could shit.
If it was not for the fact that the young officer alighted with them, Wang Feng would have suspected that they decided to abandon them there.
Wang Feng had scolded him before and so it was possible that he might throw them into a ghostly place like this. There was no one, no roads and even no signals. To walk would take an unknown amount of time.
“This is the grounds of the Dragon Spirit Squad?” Wang Feng asked.
“See for yourself later and you will understand.” Without bothering about Wang Feng’s weird tone, the young officer led them forward.
“Who’s there?” After walking for a few hundred meters, two or three men suddenly jumped out of the forest and pointed guns at Wang Feng and the rest.
“Don’t worry. It’s me.” Seeing those men, the young officer waved his hand, signaling for them to put his guns down.
“It’s Vice Captain Jiang.” Seeing that he belonged to them, these few people put down their guns. They then looked at Wang Feng and the rest and asked, “Who are they?”
“They are the new recruits. Don’t ask so much. Where is Eldest Brother? I want to see him immediately.”
“The team leader has already been waiting for you. Follow me.” One man spoke and then brought Wang Feng and the rest through the forest.
Before joining the Dragon Spirit Squad, Wang Feng and the rest all thought the team based their grounds among rough grasses. The best scenario was that they built some kind of houses.
However, when they truly saw the Dragon Spirit Squad, they all gaped and eyes bulged in surprise.
The Dragon Spirit Squad was indeed based in the mountains. However their base was not on the ground, but rather underground by about 30 meters.
There was a massive space dug out and was filled with almost all by highly advanced machinery. It was just like in a science fiction movie.
Moreover, there was a huge field there. It was not any different from the external world.
With such a huge space, it was unclear whether it would suddenly collapse.
“This is where the Dragon Spirit Squad is truly based. From now on, all of you will live here.” Looking at the shocked faces of Wang Feng and the rest, the young officer was extremely pleased.
In order to build this place in the past, they expended 10 years of effort. All the advanced machinery Huaxia had they also had it here. As for Wang Feng’s worry, it was basically non-existent. This place could not even by destroyed by an earthquake a magnitude of 10.0. It could even withstand the energy from a bomb. How could it collapse?
Only true elites could live here. Any of these men would be someone even an army general would not dare to offend.
Everyone thought that the Dragon Spirit Squad hid in a very significant place. Who would have known that it would be situated in an isolated forest?
All around, the Dragon Spirit Squad members gazed at them. However, no one came up to strike a conversation. All of them were busy training.
“Let’s go. I will bring you guys to register first.” The young officer spoke. Suddenly, he seemed to have remembered something and said, “Oh right, I’m called Jiang Zhengyi. All of you can call me Vice Captain Jiang in the future, or you can also call me by my code name, Black Eagle.”
“According to our rules here, real names cannot be used, so it’s best to call me by my code name in the future.”
“Understood.” The few people nodded their heads. The higher ranked the team, the more necessary it was to use a code name. This was out of concern that others could search their information. Even those in their own teams had their own code names.
Following this young officer, Wang Feng and the rest were finally brought to a man clothed in black. Wang Feng felt a little familiar with the man in black but could not recall where he had seen him.
However, Dongfang Yu’er who stood beside Wang Feng saw it differently. Looking at the man in black, Dongfang Yu’er became agitated and then mumbled to herself, “It’s actually him.”
“Who’s him?” Wang Feng was close to Dongfang Yu’er and so naturally heard her words. He asked her suspiciously.
“He’s the man who saved you in the past.” Dongfang Yu’er answered, causing Wang Feng to be shocked.
He had always been puzzled by who the man who saved him was. He did not expect it to be the man standing in front of him.
He had no blood relations with him, and they did not know each other either. Why would he save him?
