As expected, Wang Feng heard people fighting from far away in an hour after dark, which suggested that someone started to kill others for food.

Though he couldn't see them clearly with the limited X-ray vision, he didn't want to leave there to explore.

Like everyone, he also yielded to hunger, but it was not the best time to fight. When everyone had collected adequate food, he could manage getting some from them.

That mission only asked them to stay there for seven whole days. Wang Feng did not want to be eliminated or to prematurely expose his ability.

The battles never stopped. At midnight, Wang Feng could smell the blood in the air. Obviously, the night was not so tender for the people who stayed there, for some were injured, and maybe some had already died.

The clock ticked away. Around three o'clock in the morning, suddenly, Wang Feng, who was nodding off slightly changed his expression and slowly opened his eyes.

About a dozen meters away in front of him, two people were fleeing fast ahead, while three men were chasing them relentlessly, resulting in a big noise.

With X-ray vision, Wang Feng was surprised by the two escaping people for they were not men, but the only two women in the team, Dongfang Yu'er and Zhong Xiaoqian.

They were close friends, so they chose to stay together even under that situation, but they were eventually targeted by others who aimed for their food.

Everyone was equal there, all striving for joining the Dragon Spirit Squad, so no one would protect them. Instead, they were more likely to kill them.

They were badly injured by the three men who were chasing behind.

Moreover, at that time, nobody would save them. How could a man invite troubles when he could hardly look after himself? After all, life counted above all else.

”Yu'er, let's fight with them.” In the forests, Zhong Xiaoqian said with her hand on her bleeding abdomen.

They originally hid in a secret place. However, they were found by three men who teamed up. Although they escaped and drew away with the enemy, both of them were seriously injured. If they continued running, they would be caught sooner or later.

They'd rather fight with the enemy than fleeing desperately and exhausting their strength. Maybe they could fight their way out.

”Don't say that, just run. Obviously, they want to kill us. If we stop here, we will die.” Dongfang Yu'er said with a quite calm face while she knew that they would possibly die there.

Along the way, they also met other people, but those who had admired them before now chose to avoid, with no intention of helping them at all.

They just loved their appearance, which was unworthy of mentioning compared with their own future.

Beautiful women were countless in the world. As long as they joined the Dragon Spirit Squad, all kinds of beauties would come for them.

At that time, they were benevolent and righteous enough for they didn't attack women.

”No, we can't escape. We are soldiers. I'd rather die in a vigorous battle than by exhaustion. I will not run away any more.” Zhong Xiaoqian said, giving off a sense of determination.

She was a beauty, but she had become a solider the day she joined the army who would not escape death just beacuse of fear.

”Xiaoqian, you...” Seeing Zhong Xiaoqian stopped, Dongfang Yu'er couldn't continue running no matter how much she wanted, for she would never leave Xiaoqian alone.

”Yu'er, run! I will block them for you.” Zhong Xiaoqian firmly said.

”We joined the army together, so I won't leave now. I will share life and death with you.” Dongfang Yu'er shouted and then stood next to Zhong Xiaoqian.

Although they were women, they were definitely not the kind of people who cravenly clung to life instead of braving death. Otherwise, they would not have joined the army.

”Weren't they running away?” The three soldiers soon caught up and were surprised to see that they were still waiting for them.

The three men were about to give up chasing. After all, they were not the strongest team among all of the soldiers. If someone got in the way, they might lose their food instead of robbing others; at that time, their loss would outweigh the gain.

”Why should we escape? You'll only get our food over our dead bodies.” Zhong Xiaoqian said in a firm tone.

”Yes. You're getting nothing from us. We'd rather feed a dog than give it to you.” Dongfang Yu'er added.
