9 To Enter the Academy 1 (2/2)
”Well, why not a short break for the guest? The gentlemen must have worn out themselves from the hours of traveling,” was his mother's invitation, however, was declined by Saldimir.
”I am afraid we can not, Baroness. We still have a problem or two to carry out. My deepest apologies.” Saldi brought a hand on his chest and bow slightly. While he was talking, the young man, Idris, handed over a package to Eddra of which he gladly accepted. ”I, my mate, and your son shall see each other the day he would arrive in the academy,” he continued, lifting his gaze to Eddra's mother.
With her brows frowning, the Baroness simply curtsied. ”Be safe on the road ahead, Good Sir.”
A nod and Saldi turned his back on them, entering the carriage then followed by Idris. Eddra and the other two individuals with him watched them as they added distance to their residence.
”Ed,” he heard his mother called him, ”Was the gentleman's name was Saldimir?”
It was at this moment, Eddra felt more fucked up than ever. Maybe he just drew attention without his knowing. 'Argh... Shit...'

Eddra ran around outside the mansion for four hours and barely half continuously, completing his morning routine he had accustomed in the army. The feeling of restlessness just won't leave his entire body as he gradually picked choices that would change his destiny, even though he knew he was simply dreaming.
In addition, the incident yesterday was something he could not brush off in his mind. It was a stupid mistake, calling the gentleman despite not introducing his name. To Eddra, it was such an embarrassment. Saldimir must have thought Eddra was a fan of his. Well, Eddra simply hoped that Saldimir would have the mindset of himself as a famous man in which why most individuals knew his name.
Stopping on his tracks and bringing his hands on his waist, Eddra breathes heavily. He had almost achieved the hours of his running while he was in the army. Setting his attention to the single plate floating before his eyes, Eddra chuckled to himself. Everything was working smoothly more than he expected.

Eddra walked near the wall and leaned on it while he was trying to catch his breath. He noticed that when he was running for too long, the servants started to get worried. Some tried to stop him while the others hand him over a few refreshments.
Mayhap, drawing too much attention was not the right thing to do. Sooner or later, his mother would get worried and asked if something was troubling him, after all, she was a kind and loving mother.
”You are overworking your body, brother,” Eddra heard a voice behind him.
”Oh, Everette.”
”Don't run too much. Mother is asking me earlier to what was happening to you and what caused for the sudden change in behavior,” Eve informed his brother, placing his elbow by the window and leaning on his chin on his palm. ”I do not think you have changed though. You still cause nothing but trouble, older bro.”
Eddra could not help but laugh at his second brother's words. ”I will try to behave myself, Eve!” he beamed.
”Lord Eddra!” a voice was calling his name from afar. Not long after, the figure revealed himself in the distance, it was Gale.
”... What is the matter?” was Eddra's question.
”Ha... Wait for a minute, Milord... Let this old man catch his breath.” Gale, who was panting, inhaled a deep breath and blew out slowly. ”The Baroness... ordered me in haste to help you prepare for your leave for this afternoon,” Gale informed his master, barely able to regain his breathing.
”That early?” Everette butted in shock to the sudden announcement.
Patting his brother's head and messing his hair, Eddra smiled at him. ”Hey, bro. Take care of the household for me,” he softly said as he followed Gale and walked away, leaving the dumbstruck young man.
”Do you ever get hungry? You didn't touch the breakfast I personally delivered in your room,” the butler asked— more like a scold to Eddra.
”Of course, I do. I was simply busy exercising,” Eddra defended himself.
”Is that an exercise? You were likely exhausting your body.”
”Okay, Mom. I'm sorry.” Eddra raised his hands in defeat.
