Ye Ningxiao was still on leave. However, Li Xueji's manager was no longer Ada. The three of them could no longer play together, so Ada followed behind Ye Ningxiao. She was not used to idle around like this. Even if she was filming in the crew with an illness, she would still feel better every day. She would not be so bored.
Since she had nothing better to do, Ye Ning Xiao could not help but think of her father. He was recuperating abroad, so she wondered how he was doing.
Therefore, she booked two flights abroad to see her father, and at the same time called Fang Wang An to explain the situation.
Fang Wang An was a bit worried at first, but after thinking about how it would be easy for him to get Ada to keep him company, he agreed to Ye Ning Xiao's request. He warned her to be careful on the road, and also asked her what day she would be leaving, so he could send her off.
Ye Ningxiao stated the date.
A few days later, the time was up. Fang Wang An then personally drove Ye Ningxiao and Ada to the airport.
Just as Ye Ning Xiao boarded the plane, Fang Wang An also boarded the plane with her.
Ye Ningxiao felt very puzzled and asked, ”Why? Are you coming with me as well?”
Fang Wang An smiled sweetly and said, ”En, I want to go with you to see uncle. If I don't go with you, I'm not very confident.”
”Aren't you very busy?” Ye Ningxiao asked in confusion.
”It is very busy, but I have already pushed aside my work for four days. I can accompany you back in two or three days.” Fang Wang An shrugged and held Ye Ning Xiao's hand.
Ye Ningxiao still had a question that she could not understand, so she asked, ”Then your plane ticket … Have you already booked it? ”
”Luck, hehe!” Fang Wang An smiled and said, ”Two days ago, I saw that there was still a ticket. It was like heaven helping me, so I pushed aside my work. If I didn't have a plane ticket, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to accompany you there.”
Ye Ningxiao was especially touched by her words. She tightly held onto Fang Wang An's hand, not letting go as she walked into the cabin.
After flying for three hours, they finally arrived overseas. They got off the plane and took a taxi to the hospital where Ye Ningxiao's father was.
As it was getting late, Ada went to look for a hotel.
Ye NIng Xiao and Fang Wang An went straight to the hospital to see her father.
The hospital was very big and the staff members were very friendly and would not speak coldly to foreigners. After the two of them asked Ye Ningxiao's father about her hospital room, a nurse led them over.
Arriving at the door of the ward, Fang Wang An saw an amiable elder sitting on the sickbed inside. He was dressed in his patient's clothes, sitting on the bed and seriously reading a book.
Fang Wang An was sincerely impressed, but he also secretly felt ashamed of himself. Not to mention being sick, even if he wasn't, he would still not be this diligent at times.
Perhaps reading was just a form of entertainment, and he hoped that time would pass unknowingly. But for an ideal person, the benefits of reading a book are many. It's not just a simple pastime.
No one would know that in the unknowingly passage of time, the knowledge that you obtained from the book would be able to greatly enhance your temperament, allowing you to unknowingly become a completely different person.
Therefore, the ancient people said, ”having the book in your stomach is always full of vigor.” Reading would never be a low-level hobby, and it would never be a harmful habit. Even Confucius had once said: ”All things are of low quality, only those with a high ability can read books.”
Perhaps we will think that Confucius' words are not reasonable. But when we think about it carefully, we will find that the words that the sages said weren't nonsense. They were very practical conclusions obtained through deep thinking and long time of practice.
Reading was something that lasted a lifetime. People who were never out of date and did not like reading were eliminated by society.
Hearing footsteps, Ye Ningxiao's father was already immersed in her book sea and did not raise her head to look. He probably thought it was a medical staff member.
Ye Ning Xiao finally saw her father that she had yearned for day and night. She ran over excitedly and shouted happily, ”Daddy!” It almost scared her father.
Only then did her father raise his head. Seeing that it was his daughter, he was overjoyed. He quickly threw the book to the side and said happily, ”Daughter, why are you free to see me? Why didn't you inform me earlier?”
”Your daughter just wanted to give you a surprise!” Ye Ningxiao asked in a spoiled manner.
”Come on, let's find a place to sit first. There's no place to sit in the ward, just sit on the bed!” Ye Ningxiao's father pointed to the sickbed beside them.
”It's alright, daughter, just stand there!” Actually, Ye Ningxiao felt that the bed was not 'clean'. She was most afraid of getting sick. Of course, what she didn't know was that all the beds in the hospital were strictly disinfected, so how could they not be clean?
Perhaps, this was what it meant by a germaphobe. However, it did not seem like a germaphobe. Perhaps it was because her body was weak and sickly, causing her to become much more vigilant.
