Nina sat beside her brother and ate the breakfast that the waiter just brought.

From time to time, she would glance at John and Leon, the two m

”And if you dare let another woman take shelter under you, I will cut you down.” Nina smiled, but she did not seem to be joking.

John felt relieved. He leaned back, his eyes soft, and his voice took on a unique laziness. ”I'll even hand you the ax myself.”

”Then we're on the same page.” Nina smiled wider and winked at her husband once again.

For others, it was just a gentle, innocent smile, but John found it quite charming.

He saw the same smile every morning when he woke up with his little girl in his arms. That smile could really kill him.

”Ahem...” Leon cleared his throat loudly, his eyes darting back and forth between the two.

He was still here. Could they be more impolite?

Leon thought that he was not that important to his sister now, so he threw some cold water on her.

”Nini, you got the marriage licenses with John listed as a resident of Spring City, but don't forget that you're the princess of C Island.”
