Lin Wanwan resisted the urge to roll her eyes and pretended not to understand him. She continued to probe, ”Do we know each other? My father said not to sit in a stranger's car.”

Lu Zhanbei gave her a side glance, his expression plain. It seemed like he was sizing her up effortlessly, but it felt extremely oppressive at the same time.

Lin Wanwan subconsciously straightened her body and sat up, feeling the same sort of nervousness a primary school student might towards a headmaster.

This reminded Lu Zhanbei of the times his younger brother was punished when he was a child, and a playful thought crossed his mind.

”You can call me Uncle Lu.” This answer was him beating around the bush once again.

Lin Wanwan pretended to be ignorant. ”Will an uncle kiss his own niece?”

Lu Zhanbei tilted his head slightly and his gaze came into contact with that pair of unforgettable eyes. He could not help but recall the moment he kissed her.

There was a slight tingling in his heart, as if a feather was falling down. However, this feeling lasted for just a moment, and its effect was negligible.

”Since you are my uncle…” Lin Wanwan reached out her hand. ”Where is my welcome gift?”

Lu Zhanbei placed in her hand a white business card with the borders trimmed in gold. There was only a string of numbers on the card, along with the exquisite name: Lu Zhanbei.

Lin Wanwan tried her best not to show her obvious dissatisfaction and said, ”Uncle, did anyone ever tell you before that you are very tricky?”

Upon hearing this, the sidekick-cum-chauffeur Gu Mo turned speechless in despair.
