Mo Ranran rolled all the way down the hill, and only after colliding with a tree did he stop.

Without waiting for Mo Ranran to react, Mu Ling rolled down from the top and crashed heavily onto Mo Ranran's body.

”Cough, cough, cough.” Mo Ranran felt his chest being pressed down by a huge rock.

After forcefully pushing Mu Ling away, Mo Ranran sat up, breathing heavily.

Mo Ranran's gaze landed on Mu Ling who was lying on the side and did not know if he was dead or alive, and gasped for air: ”If I knew, I wouldn't have followed you here.”

While he was complaining, he stood up honestly and went to Mu Ling's side and squatted down.

After treating Mu Ling's lower veins for a while, Mo Ranran treated his wounds simply and fed him a lifesaving medicine.

After finishing all these, Mo Ranran seemed to have used up all of his strength and stood in place to rest for a long time. Only then did he support Mu Ling up once again, and carried him on his back.

He raised his head to look at his surroundings. The sun was about to set.

Mo Ranran was also unable to differentiate between east, south, west, and north. He could only find a random path and continue forward.

It was unknown how long Mo Ranran walked for, but the sky had already turned completely dark and it was pitch black. Exhausted, she found a tree and stopped.

The moment she stopped, as if she had lost all her strength, Mu Ling slipped from her hands.

Mo Ranran leaned on a tree, looking at Mu Ling who was lying on the ground, she no longer had the strength to stand up again.

Lifting his eyes and looking at the pitch black sky, Mo Ranran who had relaxed, his consciousness was gradually fading away.

When Mo Ranran woke up again, he found himself lying in an unfamiliar room, as if everything that he had experienced in the forest before was just an illusion.

Mo Ranran's head froze for a moment, and it was only when she raised her right hand, that the pain she felt from her right hand let her understand, everything that had happened earlier was true.

When Mo Ranran got off the bed and wanted to open the door, he found that the door was locked.

Mo Ranran tried a few times but failed to successfully open the door.

”Stop struggling. You can't open this door.” Just as Mo Ranran was about to give up, a female voice came out from outside the door.

”Since the empress has come, won't you come in and take a seat?” Mo Ranran squinted as a cold light flashed across her clear eyes.

”No, I won't be coming in.” The empress's cold voice came from outside the door.

”Is the empress afraid?” A voice that was not soft nor heavy came out of the house.

”Open the door for me.” A cold glint flashed through the empress's eyes. She turned around and motioned for the guards to open the door.

The guards at the side unlocked the door.

”Where's the emperor? What did you do to the emperor? ” Mo Ranran looked at the Queen who just walked in, and his eyes slightly narrowed.

”Your majesty is very well. With the imperial physician by your side, there's no need for you to worry.” Hearing Mo Ranran ask about the Emperor, the Empress's eyes flashed with a trace of ruthlessness, and in the blink of an eye, it disappeared.

When Mo Ranran heard this, he let out a low sneer before coldly speaking, ”Since Your Majesty is doing well, then why are you locking me up?”

The empress looked straight at Mo Ranran, and slowly said word by word, ”Because you wanted to kill the emperor. Luckily the crown prince arrived in time to save the emperor from your sword.”

”So it turns out that you guys have already charged me with such a crime.” Mo Ranran coldly swept a glance at the empress, her beautiful eyes sinking slightly.

”How can we say yes? So many people saw that. It was you who stabbed the emperor. If it wasn't for the crown prince stopping you early, the emperor would have already died under your hands.” If you commit such a treacherous crime, then just wait for your death. This time, no one will be able to save you. ” The empress's lips quirked in a sinister smile.
